Hey Everybody!

We've been diligently working on a series of documents that explain the ins and outs of Bootstrap Builder. They also help to understand both the Bootstrap framework and quite a few CSS fundamentals. We have been sharing it with a few people while writing and they really liked it (see quotes).

There are also documents (being made) that show how to create dropdowns, cards, navigations and so on. They are linked from this document as well.

We're by no means done, but far enough into it to learn what you think and get feedback. Anything missing or something you would like us to cover? Just leave us a note here!

Wow that looks great so far - even in its early stage. Really looking forward to seeing thinks like the Component Library get developed. I'd be very happy to be able to purchase components but would really like to see the community grow by allowing us to freely exchange our own components with each other. Saving our own components for use in our own projects is really what I'm excited about.

It's great to see many things that the community has asked for being actively considered and developed. And the guide in general is shaping up really nice.

It would be nice to be able to eventually edit some of the CSS in our CSS pane but, personally I'd put a few of the other features ahead priority wise. I wonder if more code savvy users will have the same opinion, though.

I spent a few weeks reviewing and testing different companies and applications/web apps before deciding to go with some of the CoffeeCup software but I really feel like I made the right decision. I'm glad I got here in time to jump on the betas of both RBB and RFF.

That's looking great. Will this just be an online guide or will it also be a PDF that we can download? I personally like something that I can read 'off' the computer.

You can do that in your browser Ernie. File Menu > Print and then choose Save as PDF.

Very good indeed. This is NOT specked with links to other resources in a way that makes you think you can't move on before you have followed the links, and all of a sudden you are lost in the link jungle. It is all very nice and tidy and will be a great help to those not so code savvy.

One change suggestion: The toolbar explanation ought to come first, not at the end.

Bob, are you ready for some corrections of typos now? I've held back for so long...

And BTW, I still think, as I said in a post further up here, that the tool bar presentation ought to come first.

Really looking forward to being able to incorporate the Bootstrap Components directly within RBB. I'm trying to use an HTML Element as a placeholder for a manually created Carousel, but can't get it to work.

I can also see, after reading the specs, that there will be MAJOR differences for RBB to handle between Bootstrap 3 & 4.

You would not use the HTML Element for that. Just follow the elements that are specifically used for the carousel in the docs. So for 4.0.0 Alpha 5 : http://devdocs.io/bootstrap~4/components/carousel

The first line shows :
<div id="carouselExampleSlidesOnly" class="carousel slide" data-ride="carousel">

You need to add a container to the column and apply the ID of carouselExampleSlidesOnly and the classes carousel & slide and the attribute of data-ride="carousel".

Just keep working your way down adding the corresponding elements.
