I need to get into my site to make corrections with the
designer and I want to add a page, but when I pull up the pop up that says to enter websites it does not bring up my site. It is like it is no longer connected to coffee cup.

Please let us know which CoffeeCup programme you are using, and which pop-up you are talking about.

I am using visual site designer. I uploaded it to my server and now can't seem to bring it back up in visual site designer. I can get to the code and the html, but that is over my head right now. I want to make changes through visual site designer. The pop up is the one that comes up when I open visual site designer. It has three
choices. One is to start a new website...Two is to open an existing site, which is what I want to do, and three is to open a site with a template.
I don't have a template on this site.
I have tried numerous ways to get this open to work more on it but it is like it is lost.
I do have it saved on my pc but can't connect it back to coffee cup to alter. It is frustrating.

Hopefully someone can suggest something that can
help.

Hi, My thinking is that you also uploaded your .vnu file, which is what VSD uses as a template for your website. If you have another FTP program you can see if you have indeed done that and then just download it back into the My Documents Folder where it goes by default. If you do not, i would suggest downloading Coffeecups free ftp program and set it up they same way as you did in VSD. It would be named whatever you named it when you originally saved your project an example myproject.vnu, you might even use the search option on your computer by going to start>search>file or folders and look for it that way also. you may even moved into your website folder in My Documents. try these and lets us know. Thanks

Bruce,

Do you mean download a ftp file and set up another 5 page website like the one I have? That is alot of work---many hours.

I can't find the vnu site so I must have uploaded it.

No sierra, sorry for the misunderstanding. what I meant was use an external ftp program to see if you uploaded your vnu file to your server, if you have done so then just download the vnu file to your My Documents folder and then you'll be able to open your website in VSD, If you do not have an external ftp program Coffeecup has a free one you can download and you can use that to check to see if your vnu file is on the server where you uploaded your site. the ftp program gets set up the same as your VSD's Ftp.

If you close the pop up and go to the File menu, it should list the most recently opened .vnu files.

Uh Oh...One more question...I am trying to alter my website and it lets me add text and all but will not let me preview...the preview button is dead.

Is the preview button grayed out or just not responding? I only see if gray if I close all the website's pages. Otherwise, it could be the web browser that's not responding. I would try switching the preview browser to the built-in version if you haven't already (using the little arrow on the right of the preview button if it's not grayed out).
