Hi there Nance,
Rightclick on the VSD shortcut>goto Properties>Advanced> Put a check mark in Run as administrator. Then try to launch again.

Hi
I am having trouble also with the software running in Windows 8.
I clicked the box " run as administrator" and it made no difference
Do you have any other ideas, as it is very frustrating. I have been using VSD in XP for years asnd have had no problem with it at all

Right click the icon in win 8 under Apps, then select Open file location.
Now right click the icon and select properties.
Now on the compatibility tab try setting it to run under win 7 or xp.
Also make sure it's set to run as admin.
