Naming Pages (Page ID's)
I'm composing a website which will have 60 or more pages when done. It is broken up into sections, and for each section, I've been naming my Page ID's something that makes sense to me, based on which section it's in.
Example:
personalcare01
personalcare02
personalcare03
homeschool01
homeschool02
homeschool03
and so forth....
I've recently realized that my Page ID's will actually show in the web address when the site is posted. So now I feel that I should be more savvy with my Page ID's. And yet, I still want to be practical so I can identify the pages as I'm working with them.
What suggestions do you have for establishing uniform Page ID's that look professional in the web address bar but still serve the purpose of being functional to suitably identify the pages for me, the designer?

Hi Melodie,
You're wrong. Your page ID doesn't show up, it's your page TITLE that will be shown as the web address. These are two different things with their own name. So you can perfectly well use the IDs you listed in your message and give the pages titles that are looking alright, logical for your visitors.
Have fun, John

Page id = familycrestengraving
Page title = Laser family crest engraving on 9ct gold and sterling silver signet rings (curser over tab to view)
Google result is page title for description in search, but the whole url will be displayed
And :: familycrestengraving in url SEEMS to help with page ranking (can't confirm)

To change the page name Charles, go to Manage Project and double-click on any page name and your cursor will appear. You can now change name. To change the page title, go to the Settings pane. In that pane you will also find settings for Description and Keywords.
