I built a new computer a half a year ago or so and have not loaded in VSS yet. I lost all records of the site in the old hard drive in the old computer. I still have the hard drive but it is going to be difficult to access it. The plastic inside of the sata connector was broken years ago and I have been using it with the sata connector taped in place with electical tape. was put in the vicinity of where it should be and hard wrapped to the power connector and it worked that way for years so now it has the connector hanging out of it. Is not an esata connetor is a regular sata connector. Guess i could install the drive in this computer and access all of its info. But I would just as soon access the S-drive and do a recovery of the site. I looked on the records that i have access to and did not see any vnu file to access on the sdrive. I recovered the vnu before on my old netfirms apache site but this one is evidently different.
Site recovery in S-drive
Greetings fellow coffee cup users. I just did a few or more searches using the search feature trying to find answers before having to post. I did a search stating site recovery in S-drive. and vnu recovery in sdrive and several related searches they all came up with nothing found. So I am posting rather than looking through the whole of the history of the posts in the VSS listings.

I looked at my S-Drive site and it appears that CC doesn't handle files in the same way as when it's hosted on your site. There's no backup folder on S-Drive that holds the .vnu file. You better get that hard drive fixed. You'll still be able to grab images if you need them to build the site from scratch.

I can't hear what I'm looking at.

The hard drive works it is just not installed in a computer. I put in a support ticket will wait to see what staff has to say about it. The new computer has 2 x1 tera byte drives in it and a 32 gig solid state drive. So I retired the old 1 tera byte sata drive. It was working fine when i retired it.

I need to make the site responsive anyway and replace all of the swf. files with something that works on macs So I guess that I basically need to redo the site anyway. I loaded all of my CC software into the computer so I now am ready to use it in the new computer. +

Take a look at a few of those HTML editor responsive themes. Don't get turned off by the images or colors as you just need the structure. The one thing about responsive sites they need to be kept simple because of the devices their being used on.

Take your time and work with one element at a time. When that element looks the way you want move on to the next. Make sure you make a backup copy of each page before you change anything this way it's easy to go back where you were beforehand. Look forward to seeing you in the html editor forum.
