I did the same thing that Junie did - I opened VSD and clicked new website. I minimized it and then opened up VSD a second time and from there opened my current site. On the new website window I added each page and then copied the corresponding page from my current site into the new one and uploaded. My site http://www.thefieryrose.com is now back up and running!
My problem started when I completely redesigned my site and then when I uploaded it some of the old images and such that I had deleted kept showing up yet I could not find them anywhere in the folder on my computer, in FTP or in the fies on my server yet they were showing up on the site. Seems like for some strange reason the program still had those items hidden somewhere and when I started from scratch on a blank website, even though I copied and pasted from the old - everything worked without the old info showing up.
If you're still having trouble I suggest trying it this way. Thanks Junie! You kept me from pulling out the rest of my hair!

thank you all who suggested how to fix the problem of old images. I also had a problem from transferring the site to a new computer and the words, inages got totally messed up. I made the new vsd site w/copy/paste amd it worked beautifully. Had a most wonderful help from Orlando at Coffecup and he told me to never put files, etc. under the vnu file uner my sites. Need to make a separate file for each website and put all the files in there, but not under the vnu. file. Great help from Coffecup! Thanks so much. Sarah

Junie,
Looks like your images are back...that's a good thing! And nice feel to the site. On next update, you might consider resizing the images, though. On satellite (and likely more so on dial-up) they take quite some time to load due to their size. The image at the top is over 1400px wide in a space set for half that size and the approx 300 pixel area (hat and hides) mid page is being filled with an image sized 3072 x 2304. Making that little change will work wonders for page accessibility. And sometimes uploading such large files might cause upload issues, too, depending on your connection.

Particularly like the wooden phone...but tell me, what does one do with an inflatable kangaroo?
