I create them, they show up in the little boxes of the color window. Next time I open VSD they are gone! Custom colors are not being saved. If it matters, I am working on the same vnu. What is happening please? Thank you!
Hi Dori,
I have noticed this too. They will stay only for the length of time the project is open. Not sure if its a bug or that's they way it was intended to be. Maybe one of the Coffeecup Guru's will be able to answer that question.

Use this... http://www.coffeecup.com/color-schemer/
For $4 you can't go wrong! Lets you do many things with the color picker. And you can save your custom themes by website name or whatever. Works great!

How does that color schemer work in connection to VSD? Say you are in VSD laying out a page. Unless color-schemer is a pop-up in VSD you could not get to or utilize it. Or does it integrate with VSD?
I have downloaded and tried the color-schemer. It's is a thing of beauty in and of itself but does not hook up with VSD in any way. You can't apply the colors saved in color-schemer to your website pages in VSD.
Color-schemer is its own application that you would have open but minimized on your toolbar until you need it. It's a nice little app that has an eye-dropper tool that you can use to grab the color from anything that you can see. Where as VSD only lets you select a color area from within the application window.

VSD is supposed to save custom colors.
This from a write-up about it from coffeecup.com/help/articles/creating-custom-palettes:
"4. Click OK, and the hex value for your selected color will be inserted into your page. The color will also be saved in the Color window. If you ever want to use it again, just click the Color icon and select your custom color again."

Yes you are right but it only saves it for the length of time you are working in the project. As soon as you close the project it dumps the custom color settings.

Steve, when you say 'minimized on your toolbar until you need it' - what tool bar? A tool bar in VSD? Color-schemer can be called up from a tool bar while in VSD and talk to VSD?
No sorry Dori for the misunderstanding. It will be minimized on your desktop toolbar until you need. At least thats how most use this application.
