OK folks, here's one for ya. When I try to test the FTP settings in VSD I get:

Testing Server and logon ... OK
Testing Folder Creation ... ERROR

........................

Error: An unknown error has occurred

I can connect to the server just fine through DOS

I can connect to the server just fine using coffee cup Direct FTP.

I don't know WHAT to upload to the server using direct FTP! HELP!!!!

The CC developers are working on the issue of uploading via VSD. The best thing would be to contact the CC support regarding your problem.

In the meantime, if you want to upload your site using DFTP, you have to upload everything inside a folder created by VSD, called something like 'site.vnu_website' where the first 'site' represent the name you have given your project. Don't upload the folder, just the contents. And do keep the folder and especially the .vnu file if you want to be able to edit your site later!

Believe it or not, I found the problem and I feel pretty stupid! Seems Norton Anti-Virus was blocking communication with the server. I had to tell Norton is was OK and them it uploaded fine

DOH!!

Thanks Inger!
