After I updated my Win 8 to 8.1, I attempted to revise an existing website all went well until I wanted to upload to my server within VSD. I selected Publish then Choose a publishing destination....waited a second or 2 and then VSD crashed...did this numerous times same outcome.
Seems like it might be a firewall issue but have not resolved it yet. I tworked fine in Win 8

Try this.
Start a new website. Call it anything you want then save it.
Now open your other site and try publishing it.

No it did not work...VSD crashes the minute it starts fetching coffee cup destinations. Checked the S-drive login and it was out of date reestablished sdrive logon with new credentials and all seems to work....thanks for sending me in the right direction
