That's why I guess I got the wrong idea about this thread.
I also understood it as just wanting to use overlay on an image, in which case wouldn't make any difference to SEO, if it was already on when bringing into FF, in fact to be perfectly frank, there is sometimes too much emphasis put on SEO in my opinion, (depending on what a site is used & designed for) there are other factors that are more important in considering SEO as long as there is good well written content, and useful information, then a couple of images on a page as background won't make that much difference.
Anyway at the end of the day, one thing became cleared, was that he was suggesting introducing a colour overlay button for IMAGES adding to the funtionality of FF, not just a new solid colour background, which is where I got confused, in the beginning.
