I can't see files on remote server in HTML editor. In the status bar, it says "requesting directory..." I test my ftp server and it works. I use this program from my home computer and it worked fine this AM with the same project.

Hi Bill,
I had that happen a couple of times. Try closing and reopening the Editor.
I can't hear what I'm looking at.

Still not working. I even upgraded to the new Coffee Cup software. Then, I thought I found the problem. I had deleted the project file. So, I made a new one but still can't see the server side?! Thanks for your help.

Does the server connect test work when you first setup the ftp settings?

Sorry, Eric. I am not sure what you mean by when I first set up the ftp settings. The settings were there already. I have used the same server for years and this program was working fine until I stopped using it on this computer for a few months. I tried connecting using FileZilla and got this error:

Connection timed out after 20 seconds of inactivity
Error: Failed to retrieve directory listing

So, I must have a security issue with the server not granting me from this machine but recognizing another. That is what I suspect. I will call my server company. Do you agree with that assessment?

That sounds like a good idea. I wonder if the host made changes to what is needed in their ftp settings? Who's your host?

OKC Broadband. All my settings seem the same on one computer and the other. I do see that in Remote Root Folder I have on one computer "/public.html/" while on the other "public.html". Could the slashes matter? I will try that change tomorrow.

Yes, a / will matter. At least it does on my hosts.

Still not seeing the directory. The IT guy at my hosting company is working on it. I will let you know if I get an answer. Thank you for helping to solve this. If you think of something else to try, please let me know.
