It's been a while since I had a chance to work on my webpages. I noticed over the weekend that when I create a table I get a lot of extra stuff that didn't used to be there.

What's with the head tags and body tags and "table test" title? It just seems like a lot of extra stuff I don't need. I'm spending a lot of time going back and editing it out.

Is there any way to get these things to stop popping up?

<head><title>table test</title>
</head>
<body bgcolor="#ffffff" leftmargin="5" topmargin="5" rightmargin="5" bottommargin="5">
<font size="2" color="#000000" face="Arial">
<div><table width="100%" border="1" cellpadding="2" cellspacing="2" bgcolor="#ffffff">
<tr valign="top">
<td><br>
</td>
<td><br>
</td>
</tr>
<tr valign="top">
<td><br>
</td>
<td><br>
</td>
</tr>
</table>
</div>
</font>
</body></html>

I would certainly ask if your using the trial version or registered version, and at the same time say you should check for the updated version, I did as you did and got none of the extra tags as you show.

ok so whats the trick? i can't get it to copy that effect.
maybe uninstall and restart and re install and restart !
unless you hand coded it, i think it's the only way!
but the CC advisors /Ambassadors will arrive soon i'm sure to give more help than i can

Me Too ! :cool:
then have you tried your suggestions? :)
I think it may be because you used the quick table instead of the table designer. take away the <br /> and see what you get.1 big line, put the <br /> in every <td> tag and get 2 rows, just my reasoning. try using the table designer and see if it makes any difference.

Actually, no...this is happening when I use the table designer.

Quick table doesn't do it.

I took away the <br /> and got the same result in quick table thats why I mentioned it. lol
then added them back and it's normal.
weird! I must say. something in the preference settings maybe?
will ck!
