I just purchased the HTML Editor and proceded to download and install the software in the default location, which on Windows 11 is C:Documents\Download\USER\etc. etc. etc. etc. ... I didn't realize it at the time, but that's just too many folders deep. So I used the Control Panel/Uninstall program to uninstall that HTML Editor download, and within an hour or so I downloaded another HTML Editor into a better location for me, i.e. uner the C: Program Files folder.
My guess is that the Uninstall program of Control Panel doesn't really delete the files, and the registry may now as confused as I am...because the first installment (all folders and files) still exists, even though it does not show up in the C:Documents\Download\User\etc. etc. folder.
I access the second installation via a CoffeeCup desktop icon on my home screen.
What is the best way to get rid of the first installation location (Documents/Downloads/User/etc., which still has all the CoffeeCup Folders and files. Am I safe to manually start deleting those folders and files to clear up the mess I made?

This is not the answer to the question raised, but rather a suggestion that the matter be reconsidered.
Regardless of which company's software one is installing, unless there are absolutely compelling reasons to the contrary, it seems to me wise always to install software in the default location chosen by the programmers, and not to move it elsewhere, because
1. that location could be important for the program fully to work in conjunction with various files it creates during installation;
2. the programming team and beta testers will almost invariably have used the default location for their numerous installs when checking the software;
3. putting software other than in the default location may create problems with updates and reinstallations.

YEP 100% totally agree

You will need to do a total uninstall (I use Revo uninstaller) this gives you rthe option to completely andsafely remove all leftover files (I do this often) Then re-install and accept the default location, there even maybe a support issue if you install to a different location.
Which on my windows 11 machine is
C: Users/Wayan./AppData/Roaming/CoffeeCupSoftware
never once had an install issue with the default location

Thank you for the quick response. I just downloaded Revo Uninstall and see that its default folder is also Program Files rather than Documents/Download/etc. etc. etc. It was just getting too clumbsy using the default location and finally finding the correct index.html file. I will uninstall again following your advice. Thanks again.
Having uninstalled with Revo and conducted a new installation with the default locations, I got an error notice of "out of bounds" at the very end of the procedure. I then tried to download a template and got the rejection notice as indicated in the attached .png. I have also included a copy of my folder tree on my C: drive to see if it looks normal.
Template yoga won't downlaod.

I think I've got a worlkaround. thanks anyway.
I was able to duplicate the error that Sam has brought up. It's a CoffeeCup specific template issue (path?).
So Sam, what was your work around?

I think he must mean a 'runaround'. If you click on those links that are supposed to be attachments, you don't find them but you get back to the same post.
