Problem with HTML Editor’s built-in...

I have been using HTML Editor version 16.1, Build 808 (Paid Version) since 2018. I have been using HTML Editor in designing, developing, modifying, updating websites since 2011. The issue I have had for some time is that for whatever reason, HTML Editor freezes whenever I attempt to use the built-in FTP upload system to upload a website file or files to my server. I should also add that this is most surprising since both my websites pass the FTP server settings test. This being the case, I elected to use File Zilla some time ago during 2019 to upload website files that I had changed periodically using HTML Editor. At this point in time, I would like to be able to restore the HTML built-in FTP upload system so I can use it once again to upload website file/s to my server. While I have searched online, I have yet to find a resolve. I have even uninstalled and reinstalled HTML Editor version 16.1 after using a special utility provided by CoffeCup that cleans up any leftover files. I have even tried both the latest free and trial versions of HTML Editor (after removing version 16.1) to no avail as the issue remains unresolved. All considered I am beginning to think that there may be a conflict between HTML Editor and another application on my laptop that I am unaware of. Last but not least I have attached a screenshot when HTML Editor freezes once I click and attempt to upload a file to the server using the built-in HTML Editor FTP upload system. Any suggestions regarding this matter are appreciated. FWIW, I am not a newbie or average computer user by any means but this has really got me stumped. Thank you ahead of time.

I have since noticed that the FTP upload system I have been using, FileZilla, uses SFTP - SSH File Transfer Protocol whereas the HTML built-in FTP upload system is set to Standard FTP and fails the FTP server settings test if I change the setting to SFTP (Secure File Transfer Protocol) to match that used in FileZilla. I was then wondering if this could be the reason HTML Editor freezes in attempting to use the built-in FTP upload system. However, upon further investigation, my iHost provider BlueHost supports both FTP and SFTP. This being the case, it appears I'm back to where I began in that HTML Editor Built-in FTP upload system connects to the server but freezes without fail whenever I attempt to upload one or more files to the server. Now I'm really stumped. Does anyone have any idea what may be causing this behavior? Thank you ahead of time.

Hi, have you tried upgrading your version of HTML Editor to version 17? If not, I would advise you to do so. I don't know specifically if your FTP problems will be sorted by the upgrade, but before turning to CC support, you should at least have tried the latest version.

If, after the upgrade, your problems are still there, then please get back to us.
Ha en riktig god dag!
