Having been designing commercial web apps and running web sites for 501c3's for years let me attempt to get you headed in the right direction. Step one, no editor is meant to teach you HTML and CSS, having taught classes on HTML and CSS. Step two, you need to by some good books that take you through the process of building web pages and/or take a class at a local college.

There are also a good variety of articles on Coffeecup's help area in your Support Room.
1. Mouse over your name at the top menu (right side) and click Your Support Room.
2. click the Browse Articles link in the right hand menu.
3. Scroll the next menu on the right to click the HTML Editor link to get a list of all the different articles available for the HTML Editor.
Those should help along with what Jerry and Gunsmoke have started you off with. Good luck.

I would like to have the possibility when selecting code in the html editor, we could move the whole block of code to the right or to the left to get a nice structured code view. Now we have to do line by line using the spacebar to move it to the right.
(shift line left or shift line right)
Thanks for considering.

Hiya Carl,
You can highlight multiple lines of code or text to move it left or right using the Tab and Ctrl+Tab keys. Hope that helps
I would like to see a function to insert lorem ipsum text.

Actually, it's kinda already in there. If you go to the 'Snippets' tab on the left, you'll find a 200 character lorem and a 500 character lorem.
Or if you don't mind a little work for a much better solution, check out this site if you haven't seen it. Then just copy/paste!

I downloaded the latest version and Arrrgh! the Preview tab has gone. I get the impression you want folk to use the S: drive to preview, but we don’t all have 24/7 web connectivity. Please, please, please return the Preview tab.
Meanwhile, I’ve uninstalled the latest version and reverted to my ‘old’ version. Without a Preview tab option, that is where I’ll stay.

The Preview Tab has been gone since 2010 Stephen.
Learn the essentials with these quick tips for Responsive Site Designer, Responsive Email Designer, Foundation Framer, and the new Bootstrap Builder. You'll be making awesome, code-free responsive websites and newsletters like a boss.
The html editor has been taken to new levels and you can preview locally with three options.
f11 gives you a preview using the built in preview window
f12 gives you a split screen so you can design and see the changes as you make them
Local preview gives you a look in your favorite browser of your choice or use a shortcut key of ctrl +f9 to use your default browser. The tab might be gone but the new functionality is totally awesome.
