I can't use the most current version because it won't open dynamic links. Is that bug fixed?

Hi Angela, can you explain what you mean by "opening dynamic links? What are you specifically trying to accomplish?

Will the editor allow for checking different compliance standards (validation)? In other words it would be most excellent to have a choice of HTML4, HTML5, XHTML1.0, XHTML1.1, CSS1, CSS2, CSS3, etc.

We use the W3C Markup Validation Service, so it will validate the page based on whatever DOCTYPE is currently found in the document. To check other DOCTYPES, you would need to change that on each page. We do not have a utility that would do this automatically for you at this time.

I hope that answers your question ;)

Hi
WOW it sure looks like you are really want to have HTML Editor the Best in the world...

Did you improved PHP support?
Ver. 2007 and 2008 has the same problem in PHP code.
if you have the ">" symbol, it thinks you closed the PHP tag and shows the rest of code as plain black text with no highlights.

Please check that you do not forget it this time.

Thank you

Yes, we put a lot of work into this area, and I think you will really like it. If you do run into a problem with some code you have, drop me an e-mail directly at scott@coffeecup.com and I will look into it for you.

Confused. Didn't html editor 2008 have a visual editor as well? Is that now removed? Before we could edit in code mode, also use visual editor, and preview.

The Visual Editor is still there. It could be you have it turned off. Go to the Tools Menu > Preferences and uncheck the "Hide Visual Editor".

Pretty neat huh ;)

I'm just wondering. I know that this is an HTML editor and all, but the web has evolved and we are more than just HTML now, we are javascript, CSS, HTML, PHP, MySQL, and many other technologies. I yet to see CoffeeCup with an effort on creating an editor or even upgrade this current editor to supply with many of these current powerful features that can help me use your products more often. Yes, you made this product for us to be able to do this as simple as possible, but I have been using your products for more than 5 years and I have grown out of this HTML because it does not have the features that I am looking for. I really love the product, but I think a version of this product like... The HTML Editor Pro upgrade can include these features that I will surely purchase because I love the other products that I have with this company.

You're right that there are many new technologies available now. Our focus with the HTML Editor is to give people a tool that makes creating Websites by hand very easy. There are several ways to customize the Editor to meet your needs. Sounds like the best thing to do is open a support request with your specific needs/requests and one of our techs will help you find the best way to help you meet them.

Hi,

I am not sure if any of CoffeeCup Web builders have a capability of developing ASP pages. I am fairly new to this and I want to develop websites based on ASP.NET platform with a SQL backend.

Thanks,
Ash
