I've been trying to add MS Edge to my "Test with Browser" list but cannot seem to make the executable work in CoffeeCup HTML Editor.
I located the Edge.exe file deep in C:\Windows\SystemApps\Microsoft.MicrosoftEdge_8wekyb3d8bbwe\MicrosoftEdge.exe but cannot register it as a browser in CoffeeCup HTML Editor.
Had no difficulty registering Chrome or Firefox. Why is MS Edge proving to be difficult and non-responsive?
Suggestions?
Dave.

I guess you'll have to ask Bill Gates. It's a Windows thing. But if you select Edge as your default browser, it will appear in the Editor.

I think someone found a workaround for this, but I don't remember it off the top of my head. Someone else here might know.

I know this is an old topic, but I found that choosing edge as the default browser did not solve the problem. My default browser is set to firefox. The editor will preview the page in IE11.

I have found a solution to using Edge with the editor. The problem is detailed here and provides a simple solution. http://www.edgemanage.emmet-gray.com/Ar … aunch.html . Works perfectly.

That's interesting. I uninstalled Edge Launch the other day: I find that CoffeeCup's The HTML Editor will now accept my latest version of MS Edge [Version 83.0.478.37 (Official build) (64-bit)] as an additional browser in the normal way.

On my pc it's at C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft\Edge\Application\msedge.exe

Hello Frank,

Thanks for sharing that. I have the "Legacy" version of Edge for testing, not the new Chrome based Edge.

Still don't know why the HTML Editor has Internet Explorer as the Internal Preview. Ancient history.
