I have a client that wants the option to show/hide hotspots on their images. Is that possible? I was thinking there should be a java script that does that automatically... but can I do it from within ImageMapper and/or the produced HTML code?

Bruce, you can use image mapper to create a title text that will pop up when a visitor hovers over a selected area. Here is the url to my image map (in progress). When you hover over the head, neck, back, you should see some text pop up: http://massagefrog.com/what_hurts.html

Is this what you are looking for? If this is sufficient to satisfy your client, then check out the image mapper tutorial. That is what I used to make mine. Here's the link:

In another forum, a user named Fe Pixie posted an interesting bit of info, using Ajax. Go to this page and scroll down to find their post: http://www.coffeecup.com/forums/website-design-and-development/achieving-a-specific-effect/

I would like to know how to make the selected hot spots simply change color when hovered. Can anyone tell me how to do that?

Esther, you would have to break the original image into separate images, create a new set in the new color, and use an image rollover script to swap out on rollover.

You could also leave the image full size but create duplicates with areas of the body colored and than use a rollover script to display the appropriate image when a link is hovered.

You could accomplish this with Flash too.
CoffeeCup... Yeah, they are the best!

Wow. That sounds like too much work for me at this point. Maybe after I get all of the content put up, and get the forum working I can spend some time on that... YOUCH! Thanks for the help :)
