Just tried to open my CC LockBox and got the following error:
Database file 'C:\Program Files\CoffeeCup Software\CoffeeCup LockBox\pw.pwk' is a invalid TinyDB.
I have tried to open LockBox several times, and get this error message every time. Everything in LockBox has disappeared. Please tell me this can be fixed...and how to fix it, because all my passwords are stored in LockBox....yikes!
Any help will be greatly appreciated. I am running Vista Home Premium, and have not installed any new software prior to this. (I updated my Buffalo router, but that should have nothing to do with this problem.)

Unfortunately if you are getting that message, it means your database is corrupted. You will need to restore your .pwk file file an earlier version to correct it.

Thank you for the response, obviously it is not the answer I was hoping for...I guess my next question would be, what would cause this type of file to become corrupted?
Hi,
I do have exactly the same problem, as I understand here it seems that I will not be able to get my data back.
How can this happen and what do I have to do now ?
Best regards
Guido

A database can get corrupted many different ways. Just make sure to have regular backups so that if you need to restore you can in a moment.

Using Windows Vista Home edition, I am unable to recover from this error. I uninstall the program, reboot the PC, reinstall the program and it boots up first time OK. After shutting down the program completely, the problem resurfaces. Is there special way to restore the pwk file using Vista?

My CoffeeCup LockBox stopped working on June 22, 2011. I get the following error message: C:\Program Files\CoffeeCup Software\CoffeeCup LockBox\pw.pwk is a invalid TinyDB
I did a System Restore to 3 days prior and it did not help. Please tell me you have my data backed up on your servers and how I can get it back.
I've been using CoffeeCup LockBox for years. I had over 100 logins/passwords/etc. stored there.
Help!
Gary

Ouch, that is horrible. There would be no way we have a copy on our servers though. If you don't have a backup on a removable drive someplace, you may have lost all your data.
