I've installed over Ver 3 and not working correctly.

Ver 4 opened once and now will not open. Ver 3 runs but unable to login to database.

Only Ver 4 is showing in control panel where you can remove progs.

Too late to sort now, I will look at it tomorrow.

You should not have 3 and 4 installed at the same time. Doing so can potentially corrupt your database. Uninstall 3 and 4 and then install 4 only.

If that does not help, please open a support ticket for this Keith and we will try and help you out. Need lots more info. ;-)

Think I'm back in business, took a bit of sorting out.

1. Remove previous version first, not forgetting to back up database. If you install over top you will probably have to remove ver 4 then install ver 3 then remove ver 3.
2. Install new version.
3. Read manual especially where files should be located - I had to manually sort mine out.
4. Also do not forget the prog is set up to run in System Tray and title bar red x minimizes instead of closing. This can be changed in options.

OK someone deleted my post for no good reason best I can tell so here goes again. :(

I have purchased and installed the newest version of LockBox, file name: Lock-Box-Full-4.74.exe, along with one extra license.

When I go to Help -> About I see: Version 4.0 Build 74 (Trial Version)

Why is it saying that I have a "Trial Version" when I purchased the "Full" version???

As mentioned above I also paid for one extra license to be able to share the encrypted password file with another user. How do I access my extra license to share with another person?

Hiya Mywebs,

Did you uninstall the trial version and then install the paid version? It doesn't update on it's own you need to reinstall it. :)

I did go back and uninstall the old version (Which was NOT ever a trial version) , reboot and then install the newest version. I still am getting "Trial Version" within Help -> About.

hmm I would open a support ticket as I don't believe that should be happening. Sounds like something isn't getting updated in the registry somewhere.

Well since this is a new program Avast keeps putting the install into a 'Sandbox' when I install it. I'm afraid that could be it but not sure exactly how to fix it. I did try and add the main install to a Avast's white-list but since the install executable creates yet another temporary executable that also gets sandboxed and is harder to locate and white-list that last one.

Can you turn off Avast temporarily to install the program? That to me would be the best solution, then just turn it back on when you're done installing it.

I did just uninstall and reinstall with all of Avast's shields disabled so it wouldn't attempt to sandbox the install. Still says Trial Version.
