We are looking at ways to offer some specials on programs and services we sell. We would love input from you on what you may like or wsh you could have. So what we need are some suggestions on what could sell to a large audience and how much that should cost. We have software, themes, graphics, books and hosting we can work with. If we select your idea, you will get it free! How cool is that!

So now is the time to directly reach us and tell us what special you would like to have!

how about a starter package for Brand new shops with SCCP or SCCB that can be hosted free for a very limited number of products (ie) 10 or so

Similar to what you already offer with VSD for free hosting for a website.

Baring in mind the limitations to static pages in both programs, and total beginners to the e commerce idea not understanding the need for imformation pages, how about this

Free hosting of up to .................. products with option to upgrade to a full paid up account at any time, when purchasing the following package, containing SCCB SCDB VSD & WFB, everything you need to get a comprehensive shop online without learning code, or needing to understand FTP, a starter package for total novices including a blogg with instant email access for all your photographs.

How about some form of 'cafeteria' offer, where CC would define a list of e.g. 15 (or 10 or 20, whatever...) CC programs (and/or other items) and then offer: "Pick any 4 (or 5, whatever...) items from this group and pay just $xx".

The rationale would be that people would get precisely what they want - and at a 'deal' price...

This would eliminate the psychological barrier, that sometimes may exist, against buying a package deal - even at a great price - if the package includes items that are previously owned or are perceived as not being needed.

Packages for your fonts, images, and themes. Allow us to make our own package... Instead of you setting up the special price for say 10 themes, let me pick which ones I want up to 10, and I still get the special price.

That way, they are the ones I like, and I do not have to buy all of the 10 you put up to get the 2 I want.

I agree with SirAGE on that one, would love to see some custom packages for those of us that already have a lot of the main software items.

Would love to see some custom packages of software for that matter too. One thing about software is it's digital, there's no stock involved so you don't have a "sell this many of this or that to keep that product in the running thing", it's already completed and you don't have to reorder more etc. etc. sooo....

Having said that, why not offer some sales of "Choose 3 of any of these programs" and offer all (or most if some of the really old ones are still in the running, I wouldn't add those if they are o their way out soon), of the programs that are in the same price range? So run a say for let's say all the programs that are $39.00 and say "Choose any 3 of the following for 79.00" and list all the $39.00 programs and so on through the price ranges.

This would open up a nice setup for those that already have certain programs, and less complaining that "I already have all but one of the programs in the current sale" which we hear every so often, and of course which I mimic in my own mind as I fall into that category too. Choices are always better for the customer, and you make the same amount of money regardless of which program you sell right?

There was an offer recently that included the option to have CC create a form for you...

How about a customized template deal for SDrive accounts? For example; I could choose any VSD template and supply my own logo, color requests, photos... and CC would customize the template for me and upload it to my SDrive. Custom templates could come with 1 form included and maybe a graphics pack choice.

- One would need an SDrive account to get the deal
- Existing customers wouldn't need to buy software if they chose a template for what they already owned.
- New customers could choose a software bundle (vsd, html, shop – with form builder and whatever else might seem appropriate) and get one customized template based on their software choice.

Something that has confused us from time to time is that we will send out an email offering 25-40% off using a coupon code that can be used towards anything we sell. That coupon code will not be as effective compared to just changing the price to a lower amount even though a coupon code gives far more off. Plus the coupon code can be used with multiple products at once.

Must be one of those strange mindsets where coupons while they save more, just don't register like a lower purchase price.

What is funny is when we do just adjust the price, we have customers emailing us if we have any coupons they can use as well.

How come the coupons never apply to the Swag Shop?

My situation exactly! The Animation Studio looked like a great deal as advertized, though, so I bought it a moment ago with the thought that maybe one of these days I'll find something to animate...


I'd love to get some of the swag stuff too - with or without discounts - but anything like that mailed to my address here in Mozambique would be almost guaranteed to get stolen, if not by the customs guys at the airport, then by someone at the post office... That, alas, is how things are in our part of the world...

Yeah and many times the discount coupons (such as the 20% off any of our programs type thing) only worked for programs, didn't work for graphics or themes at all so those of us that already have most everything program wise have no use for the coupon. I am surprised though that they wouldn't work well for those that don't have all the programs, which I'm sure is the majority of users? You would think they would jump all over a good coupon.
