Sending to large subscriber lists...

RED is focussed on email design and creation. Anything from marketing emails, newsletters, and transactional emails as account alerts and confirmation emails can be created, exported and used where appropriate. For example, we foresee that Web Form Builder will be sending a lot more beautiful emails soon!

Now, RED can be connected to a personal or business email account and does send email. That's what we want to talk about here.

Currently, the sending is intended to be used for design testing, content approval and link checking. Not for sending and tracking an entire marketing campaign. Now, some people might want to send to large(r) subscriber lists directly from RED. Having designed and created our own newsletter with RED for months now, we're the 1st to admit that it would be convenient. We are already talking to our best 'email sender' friends about integrations. But before we take that route we would love to learn more about your desires and expectations for something like this.

With that, the floor is yours, please add your thoughts, ideas, and wishes below so we can take them into account before starting the project.
The future of web layout has arrived and it's called CSS Grid. CoffeeCup helps you to get ready with a free guide, the Grid Builder app plus cool demos & themes.

Personally I think that integrating RED with something that would allow us to have the option to send large campaigns would be fantastic. But please don't make it exclusively a campaign based software as I would love to be able to just send out my monthly invoices to my clients. Currently I am using Quick-books to do this (UGLY) is the only word to describe it.

I'm looking forward to using RED to generate a great looking email that will be sent from various php scripts I have on my subscription site. As far as a campaign I would want RED to be able to look at a mysql database because I already have emails addresses. Why reinvent the wheel.
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.

I'm going to use it to design an email newsletter that we'll send out w/ Aweber. I've had incredible challenges getting Aweber emails to display well in Outlook and I'm hoping RED will solve that problem for me.

If it works out, I may use it to offer email template design services to clients.

Yeah I understand RED is email design tool and I hope it would be possible to send a responsive email to single address without any hassle beside multi addresses.

Embedding the image to email body as an extra option ( even thought many servers blocks it by default )
but I believe embedded Base64 encoded image" supported in HTML emails and it force the e-mail client to display the images. ( I hope I am not wrong here )

Ability to send from our own mail server would be cool too.

Guys at coffeecup are awesometacular.

I could really use a mass-mailing connection... I am the official "eblaster" for a non-profit art guild that I belong to, and we have around 900 names on our email list. Since we can't afford to pay for a service, I opened a gmail account for the eblasts, and have to send them out in groups of less than 500 (Gmail's limit). If you come up with a FREE alternative for using RED for this kind of service, I'd be very happy.

Note: I personally purchased the RED business version for my own personal/business use, and I'm looking forward to making our art guild emails sexy too.

Steve...Have you tried Mailchimp? http://mailchimp.com/pricing/
Send 12,000 emails to 2,000 subscribers for free. No contracts, and no credit card required. It’s free forever.

I'm hoping since FormBuilder can be used with Mailchimp, RED will have the same option. :)
I'd love to offer custom email designs to match clients' websites.
I love deadlines. I like the whooshing sound they make as they fly by. (Douglas Adams)

Hi
I am using Mad Mimi to connect with 19,600 subscribers ans was hoping that I would be able to transfer the code to their site for sending. It gives instructions on using custom html here http://help.madmimi.com/can-i-use-custom-html/ and I hope it works with RED?

Does this sound possible?

This is what RED was created for. :) What you would need to do is complete your email design in RED then
just go to File > Export and then follow the documentation you posted for Madmini's custom HTML.

Hi there,
Thanks for your help!

I also need help filling in my email settings. I'm using 'Others' but don't understand 'Default from and is the server address my host company's address? In my case my website is hosted with Namesco (UK) and they use an incoming and an outgoing address (POP3 and smtp). Which do I use?

I just can't get the test to respond affirmatively. Is there a 'How to' guide available? Or do I need this at all if I am going to use File > Export and then paste the custom HTML to my bulk email account with Mad Mimi?
