LOL Adam. I got that in the properties too which I posed with the file but then I posted the issue with running over on the right edge. Is your example with 14 columns or 12?

My example is with 12 columns. However, the reason it is running over the edge is because you have pushed the middle and the right column over using the Push control under the layout tab. You need to remove that to stop it from pushing over the edge as you say.

Adam - to baseline. I have uploaded a file using a subgrid and the other one does not use a subgrid but I assume it should work either way. The pushing was required to get the tiles next to each other and having a gap between them using margin.
With containers in a column that was not needed to do. When I am just using columns, at least the right tile is wrapped downward. That was the initial start of this thread. I do not see that works when I am taking pushing out. In order to get a gap between the tiles (Margin 1%), the third wraps, otherwise all the tiles are touching each other and it looks like a row all in white. So I suspect that I have one properties or two not right. Thanks Guru.

[quote=Frank Schneider]Thank you Steve. Looking forward to it.
To do this Frank you can add a container to each column and color it white rather than the column itself. This will allow you to apply a padding to the columns to achieve the look you are after. Here is what it would look like:

Eric -
That is what I have working but I have been wondering why all video examples are using column type only and no talk about the container type so I have been curious to create the same layout without container inside a column element. Steve wanted to upload a youtube video to talk about column with and without container.

Kind regards.

Yes sorry Frank I have been very busy so I haven't got a chance to do it yet. But above explains perfectly how to achieve this. My explanation will not be much better than the ones that have been given already as they are spot on. Have you been able to replicate this layout above? Are you still having issues or are you looking for a better explanation?

Hi Steve - I did container within columns from the start. To get the same way just using column causes the "issue" to achieve the same layout.

I really would appreciate if you still could get a video up because I think this is beneficial for many users. There is a basic difference to design in RLMP with columns only, with a mix of columns (some have a container inside, some have not), and all containers have a container inside.

From the content point of view, both column and container, can hold anything, however, the relation of these placeholders makes a difference. I think you many confirm, that when I make a column white, the columns will be next to each other and that makes it appear one white row. One can do some tricks with margin and push and pull, but it seems to be better to drop a container inside a column for total control down to pixel of a layout unless you have always the same background and the columns and float inside as the browser dimension pleases.

Thanks for the subgrid trick.

Learning by doing, the best. Nice examples in youtube by the way. All done using columns only.

Will see you again on some other issue. One is still open is the slider issue I have, any slider. Only cssSlider was working but not with all features. Maybe it is a CSS issue.

Kind regards.

I didn't look at the videos but I suspect that they were not trying to achieve the result you were. The container trick is the way to go. Did you try it? I'll post my rlm file after you give it a go.
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
