If it is not negative margin then it could be you do not have the Column the HTML Element sits in floated left.

Check that.

Can i just check one thing. When you got the video from youtube did you set the custom size to what you want before generating the iframe code.

I notice you have set the code using html editor or what ever web editor you are using to what you want, but given the video is showing 584x354 in the inspector, it sounds to me like you haven't resized it before the code was generated.

Try getting the video again but on this occasion youtube gives you the option to set the video as large medium and small and also custom. Choose custom and input the sizes you want.

Short of this I am stumped. It has to be this because the video is not changing with your code

I did try that - and about 100 other variations. Getting ready to try the float as one of my variations I did alter that

Float for that column is still set to none. Are you sure you are on the right breakpoint?
