Is there a way in SCDP to make the center area transparent. I see it on a few of the purchasable templates, I'm just wondering is there a way to do it with the software. Celestial Orbit is one of them. I am starting a template from scratch, thought I might use this feature if there is on.

You have to create the transparency in an editor first. For example, use GIMP or Photoshop to create a strip of 15X2000 (as an example), then adjust the strips transparency level. Save the file as a ".PNG" file.
In VSD use use the background-image option instead of background-color.
In other words, the transparency affect is foreign to the editor and is therefore an imported image.
