Hi
I have been revamping my site shop and during this process I have had a cloud lifted to let the sun shine through.
I have seen on here many postings about white borders around images. This in the past caused me no end of grief till today . I found that if an image is say 640 x 480 then the image place holder on the products page has to be an equal division of the images true size for instance :-
Image = 640 x 480 then the place holder has to be 320 x 240 or 160 x 120 or 480 x 360. If the place holder is made 315 x 240 (for a 640 x 480 image) this will produce a white border on either side of the image. I haven't experimented enough but at a guess, the dimensions could be adjusted to form an equal border on all 4 sides.
It doesn't make sense really to have a product place holder 480 x 360 as this is nearly as big as the image itself so almost makes the preview feature irrelevant. I hope I'm not telling everyone how to suck eggs here but it's come as a revelation to me .

Finally cracked the white border problem
Hi Titus, I'm sorry I missed your other post about the white borders around the images in your shop. But I'm gad you figured what was causing it.
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.
