What do you have your Central Area Margin under your Page Properties set at in SCCD?
It's on the advanced tab.;) Reduce the top margin.
You can also check your Navigation bar properties / Advanced tab / Navigation Bar Margin
reduce the bottom margin
I can't hear what I'm looking at.

The best way I can think of (and that I've seen others do) to combat the dual home page type thing is to rename the Shop Home page to either Shop or Shop Now or something like that. You should actually even be able to rename it to Home. Since you don't have another home page and it's not showing up in the upload from that screenshot above?

Hi Rolly & Jo Ann

Thanks for your suggestions, they are much appreciated.

Rolly, all the margins are all set to zero, in fact nearly all the settings for all the placeholders are at zero with the exception of unconnected page elements. I know where you are coming from with your comments with regard to margins and I have spent numerous hours playing around with them but all to no avail. I think I am going to take a look at the image size. The image is at this moment larger than the placeholder, this is about the only thing I have not looked at so far. How do I determine what size the placeholder is ???, the page is 800 x 600 so can I assume the place holder is 600 wide ?.

Jo Ann. The only reason the two 'Home' links/icons are not on the screen shot is that the shop settings are set to use the 'Shop Home Settings'. The additional pages are there but do not display when that is selected. The menu bar is still short but because it is now transparent it is not obvious it is short. I think I have come to accept this has to be.

Thanks again

TA

My shop home, is re named :: INFORMATION :: http://www.handmade-by-me.co.uk/signet1/index.php

I highlighted 3 products to display only and a short message to say please go to home pages to view all my details pages

And you can force a drop down below information to display any optional pages in SCCP ( I HAVE NONE)

But if you do at a later date you end up with INFORMATION and a list of your information pages below :: about me :: contact me :: Product design :: disclaimer (assuming they are in SCCp & NOT VSD as mine are)

I'm having the same issue, and I've changed my Shop Home name to something else, but it still comes up as the first link, and I don't want it first, I want the actual home page to be the first thing in the navigation menu

Click on "Your Shop" then select the "Pages" tab. Now at the bottom are your Home page settings.
