Removing Links Over Backgrounds
Hello everyone!
I have been messing with SCDP and have a question that I just cannot seem to find the answer to. I am adding on the cart to an existing site for a client. I am using the demo software -- I will be buying it as I purchased the cart when it first came out. Anyway, I have attached an image of the links I want to remove. They're the main links: home categories view cart... I cannot seem to find out where I can remove them... Do I have to do it after I export it for uploading to the server via css? Is it in the SCDP or SCC? I just don't know...
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I am thinking, after a bunch of looking around, it's not possible... I looked at all the themes and all the sites I could find that use it (just from this forum) and it looks like they're all links, some with background images to show a small icon next to them.
I really hope it's possible to remove them as it would allow me to tie this cart design into the site design.

Me thinks they are hard coded in the php files.
CoffeeCup... Yeah, they are the best!
After a little more investigating, I am thinking you're right. I'll see what I can do... May be stuck with just styling the links...
I think the main problem here is you're trying to work around the menu and use your own image with words already on it and that is the part that isn't possible that I'm aware of. You "can" use images for your menu backgrounds, but you need to put them into the system of the menu area so they are behind the already created links for the menu. Creating a completely different menu would be something you'd have to do outside the Designer and could get pretty messy.
I would suggest just remove the white lettering on that blue bar with your menu over it on the screen shot. Then alter the text of your menu to match what you have on the bar, I'm pretty sure you can do quite a bit if you're using the Pro version of the Designer and you should be able to style that text pretty nicely and have it look pretty similar to what you have on that image.

Jo Ann -- yeah, that's basically the conclusion I came to in my last post above... I was just trying to get it to look uniform with the site I already designed and have live.
I just stylized the link text to be as close as possible, removed the backgrounds, played with the padding and margins and called it a day. It's not 100%, but that's life.
Thanks!

You're quite welcome, glad you got it worked out and hopefully it works out nice. You can always opt to change your menu on the site to work with something the cart can design too, it can design some pretty complex ones.
Just as an example of what it "can" do to match your site, I made my cart menu to match my javascript menu that I use a program for. Had that part of the site done before I realized the cart needed to match lol. I was able to match it up almost 100% though, so very close it's hard to tell in most cases (unless you look in an old browser and well... upgrade then lol). It uses buttons rather than just links on a bar so it was pretty tricky at first, but it worked out pretty good. You can see the difference by going to the home pages of my shop and the main domain (wll in this case the very little bit of difference hehe):
