I'm trying to import a theme as a package from Shopping Cart Designer Pro to SCC (ver 3.8) and when it goes to the default directory it's not finding the theme I created. I can show all files and see the file name extension .sct, but no .scp.
Any themes you import will be under the "My Themes" drop down. Just go into the themes area and change the drop down list to "My Themes" and they will show there.
Also make sure that the theme you just created in Designer Pro was not created for Shopping Cart Creator Pro. Edit the theme and go to the File Menu and then select Downgrade theme....... This way Shopping Cart Creator Basic can view it.
.SCP are theme packages and these are themes we sell. .SCT are themes you create using Shopping Cart Designer (Basic or Pro).

I just installed the Designer pro 3.8 and Creator Pro 3.8 and I'm having a problem with the .SCP themes I have purchased. The designer Pro is not "seeing " the .scp files.

I'm about ready to start breaking things here.
I've created a theme in SCD Pro and saved it. I can find again to reload into SCD so I know it exists.
I did a title search of my entire computer to confirm that the theme exists in one and ONLY one directory and it does.
When I go into SCC Pro and try to import it I'm told the directory is empty. SCC is looking for a file with and .SCC extension while SCD is saving to an SCT extension.
Try to import it again and choose to look at all files I can find it with the SCT extension. Choose it and try to import and I get:
An error occurred while your theme was being installed.
Delete the theme, download a new copy, and try installing it again.
I've saved the theme, exported the theme, renamed the theme, begged the theme, threatened the theme. Repeated this with both programs. NOTHING has worked
I know I have to be missing something somewhere but I'm at a loss here.
Anybody else experience this, and if so, how did you resolve it?

When you install a theme, it will go into the drop down lists of either 800px or 1024px. Just look for the theme name. If you make any changes to the theme and re-export it to SCC, it will then appear under "My Themes".
You can also manually locate any of the themes in the Documents\CoffeeCup Software\Shopping Cart Creator\Themes folder

Been there, done that. I've checked in the SCD\Themes, SCC\Themes, allDocuments\CoffeeCup Software\Shopping Cart Creator\Themes and off of their sub-directories. I find all of the themes that were included with the download but that's it. The ones I've made and saved just don't show up.
Maybe I'm making a bad assumption here. I'm not being given the option to choose a drive or directory to save too so I've gone on the assumption that when I choose import in SCC it will go to the proper directory to find a new theme, be it one that was included in the package or one created in SCD, or in a sub-directory off that.
I'm going to try un-installing, redownloading and re-installing both and see if that changes anything
The software automatically puts the themes in the proper location needed by the software. I would try saving your theme to your desktop and then manually move them to the My Themes folder and see if it shows up that way.
Also, your My Documents folder on a network drive or any other location other then C:\?

Scott,
Here is what I have.
C:\USERS\BILL\DOCUMENTS\CoffeeCup Software\Shopping Cart\Themes
In the themes directory I have 5 folders
...
Creator Pro - Narrow Page Width (800px)
... 3 sub folders 80's Punk, Blank, Classical Jazz
... 8 Themes
Creator Pro - Standard Page Width (1024px)
... Duplicates Narrow
My Themes
...TEST1.SCT and TEST2.SCT both of these are 2.17 MB in size
Narrow Page Width (800px)
... 5 sub folders 80's Punk, Blank, Classical Jazz, Cleam SLate, Film Noir
... 11 Themes
Standard Page Width (1024px)
... 3 sub folders 80's Punk, Blank, Classical Jazz
... 8 Themes
This is what I see when I use Windows Esplorer.
When I use SSC Pro and go to the My Themes directory All I see is
No items match your search.
Now here's the thing...
SCC Pro has a file mask default looking for:
SCC themes package (*.scp)
If I change the file mask to:
All Files (*.*)
I find 2 files TEST1.SCT and TEST2.SCT
The theme is being exported with the wrong extension. SCT instead of SCP
If I choose one while using the all files mask it will try to import the theme but then I end up with:
An error occurred while your theme was being installed.
Delete the theme, download a new copy, and try installing it again.
I've tried renaming it to the proper name only to get the same error message.
If there is an option that I'm missing I still can't find it and I've tried saving it out every way I can think of and/or find with the same results every time
Remember that any themes made in Shopping Cart Designer Pro are by default made for Shopping Cart Creator Pro. If you want to be able to see them in Shopping Cart Creator (Basic) you need to go to the File Menu and select "Downgrade theme for Shopping Cart Creator Basic. If you want to use a SCD Basic theme in SCC Pro, you need to go to the File Menu and select Upgrade Theme for Shopping Cart Creator Pro. The themes then will always be stored in the Documents\CoffeeCup Software\Shopping Cart Creator\Themes folder
A .SCP is a theme package that we sell. It then extracts the .SCT file to the appropriate location. When you export a theme from SCD it will export the SCT file. The file types are not interchangeable. Once you install a theme package, you never need to install it again. In SCC or SCD you just select the theme from the theme chooser.
