Using a slider in SCD Pro theme
Hi all,
I am using SCC Pro and SCD Pro and I have modified the Mug Store CC theme to suit my needs but I would like to add a slider such as nivo-slider (dev7studios.com/nivo-slider/) where the banner.png image is currently placed on the theme homepage.
I can do this myself using HTML and CSS and have successfully implemented this slider on another webpage.
My issue is I don't understand where or how to export or access the Shopping Cart files so that I can edit the css and html myself in the HTML Editor.
The work-around is to create a separate page in the Html editor and then link this page to the shop but I'd prefer it to show on my shop home page. Is this possible?
Thanks,
PICNIC.

Short answer is yes. All SCCP files are exported and can be modified. But I'm not a coder so you'll have to wait for one to stop by.
Just remember, any modification you make outside the SCCP/SCDP programs will be overwritten if you make any changes to your web store and publish it again. So keep a copy of your modified pages so you can make the modification again if needed!

I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.

Thanks for all your help guys, I finally found the files I needed to modify and have implemented the slider. Now I just have to be very careful when I edit my shopping cart not to overwrite the changes.
What you need to do is make a text file with a list of all the changes you made to do anything at all that you edit outside of the program. Include each page and all sets of code that you added for each so you can put it back the next and each subsequent time you publish it as it "will" overwrite it without a doubt. Don't attempt to upload your shop on your own manually because you will break the inventory feature and a few other things that tend to get messed up doing that.
My method doesn't require any changes after republishing my shop.
