Header Text is renaming the page
Hi guys. I'm trying to add index, follow to the header text box, but it just changes the page title name.
Am I misreading what the Header text box is for? I read the PDF and it did say it's for author & index, follow type tags.
I've just updated to the newest update, and tried it again, but it did the same thing.

Hi Bren,
What exactly are you putting in the box? It sounds like you may not be putting the right information. But we'd need to see it so we can help clarify things for you.

Hi Monica. All that I'm putting in the box is index, follow. When I upload the title of the page is then called index, follow instead of About Us, Contact Us etc. I'm putting it in the SEO Header Text box.
I have since removed it as I don't want my pages named that way. My site is live.

Shopping Cart Creator doesn't have a Header text box for SEO information. The SEO tab is for meta keywords and descriptions. Can you provide a screenshot so we can see what you are doing?
To create a screenshot, you can use the MS Paint program, which should be under Programs > Accessories. Next, navigate to the CoffeeCup program, then press the PRNT SCREEN button on your keyboard. (It's found above the Insert button.) Then return to your Paint program, go to the Edit menu, and choose Paste. This will place the screenshot in the Paint document. Next, save the file (save as .jpg) and attach it to your reply.
Thanks!

Hi Monica, yes I will create a screenshot and send it via Support. I have closed down the program for today, so will get to it ASAP.
The header text box is on "Pages" only, and mentioned in the PDF manual as a way to include information like author and index, follow.

Additional information from the PDF:
WORKING IN PAGES VIEW
Pages view allows you to customize the text on your static shop pages, create up to five additional Webpages, and add meta keywords and descriptions and header text for every page in your shop. In this tutorial, we’ll show you how to create a new page, put in some text, and add meta keywords and a description.
First, switch to Pages view by clicking the Pages button in the Toolbar.
Finally, if you have any additional header information — such as external style sheets or meta tags
other than description and keywords (e.g. author, robots, etc.) — enter it in the Header Text field. This
information is optional, so if you’re not sure what you’d put here, don’t sweat it.

Okay, thanks for that information. We apologize for the mis-communication. The documentation is actually incorrect. The "Header Text" in Shopping Cart Creator is "Page Title Properties" in Shopping Cart Designer Pro. That controls the style of the category title on the page. But it's not for meta tags.
We'll have to have our Word Nerd Brooke, fix that.

Thanks Monica. A shame though, as that would have been a good feature for Pro as I have wanted to add index, follow to my tags. Do you know a way of doing this?

You would need to manually hack some of the PHP scripts to this, but I couldn't really say which script that maybe. We do plan on adding support for accessing the header in a future update.

Thanks both Scott & Monica. I look forward to future updates as I'm not into hacking.
Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
