I think I know where Pro will be released, the day I finish adding an item identifier as an optional field to all my listings. I've added this identifier to about 100 items with hundreds to go. As an example, I have many Native American sterling and stone pendents listed so I really need some way to clearly identify them, done. BTW, the optional field feature was added to the software after I had listed the vast majority of my items. I've pretty much held off listing much more until Pro....
So back to adding an item identifier to a optional field in more listings, anything to speed up the release of Pro....

Well I'm down to a few hundred more items to add an identifier, still no Pro, guess I'll just keep being patience.

BTW, I tongue in cheek added to my list of things to do while waiting for the release of Pro:
o Check the USGS site, Latest Earthquakes in the World - Past 7 days
o Import USGS earthquake data into an Excel spreadsheet
o Sort the Excel data by location and count where the earthquakes are and their magnitude

There are so many earthquakes in southern California/ Baja California, Mexico that I wonder why we don't feel more here so close to California. Most of the earthquakes are less than 4.0 but so many. Nearly time to leave for my summer home in Michigan, of course there was that small tornado we had in our park last summer. So I'm adding to my list of times to do to be very sure I'm right with God.

Hey Sally. CCS is setting Pro up to include the availability to work with ooak. :) I know it will make my life easier.
People say there are two roads you can take in life. Heck with that! I'll just let my feet take me where I need to go and follow my spirit! :)

I thought Scott was joking, but it looks like he was serious.

Meanwhile back to things to do while waiting for Pro, analyzing the USGS website. OMG, so many earthquakes! Well, the Excel file just didn't do it so I used a custom format for date to convert to yyyy/m/d so I could somewhat sort by date, however, 12 (Dec.) would come before 2 (Feb.). Next I created a CSV file and created a dBase III Plus data base. Yes, dBase III is more than 20 years old but what can I say, I prefer to use DOS command to menus. I couldn't remember the DOS command for filtering on a string of a data element. So I posted a dBase III DOS SOS on the eBay board dealing with computers, nothing yet.

Then I got a great thought, what about PC FOCUS, also more than 20 years old. Now where was it? I checked out an old external hard drive and there it was. I copied PC FOCUS to my computer so now I have to try to remember FOCUS DOS commands in addition to dBase III.

I need the Pro release before my old brain explodes.

Thank you

Who in the world are you talking to? Your other half lol.

I suppose waiting for SCC pro will do that to you.

Sally must be talking to me!
I'm old enough to remember dBase III, and I lived in California for enough years to remember the earthquakes all too well also! ;)

Yes to Eric and Per. My use of PC data base software is nothing like it was when I had command of mainframe data bases and used 4GL software such as Culprit, cList, SAS and FOCUS. The good old days! Now I'm Tired, retired and bored. Scott, Pro please.

Per, I go even further back to maintaining a large data base of hundreds of Challenge Level square dance calls using my old. old C64. To think that was only a little more than 25 years ago. In addition to working full-time I was working on level 4 challenge square dancing in CA, used to be truly compulsive and competitive.

As for earthquakes, I was relocated from New Jersey to CA for a job in 1979. My first day at work we had a 5.7 shaker. My new boss thought I'd be on a plane back East. Within a few weeks we had a 5.4 and 5.6. More than enough for me, however, I stuck with CA for several more years. My mom lives in Palm Desert, CA where they're waiting for The Big One. I talk to her every night by phone and only go to CA a few times a year when I go into guilt overload.

No wonder you are so tired. Reading your posts are tiring. 5.9 this and 7.32 data quark that. Dear Lord.

lol

We like ya though.
