Im one of those thats been patiently waiting and would love a "rough" date, ie are we talking May, June, July, or at least be aiming for a month when it will be out?

I've already had an OScommerce shop up and running for one business but need another for another fledgling business and liked the current SCC but of course it was no good to me as it didnt have sub categories, these have been promised in the Pro version which is what i was waiting on

But its been so long with no idea at all of a potential release date so I dont feel like theres a lot of option for me but to crack on with another oscommerce version :-(

When Scott gives a month, then people hold it to him even though its only an estimate, which is why he does not give this information anymore. The last update we got was about three weeks ago and Scott stated that the program was complete, and now they were in the stage of writing all of the documentation for the program.

Therefore, the answer is: Soon!

:D

I've already moved on to other software, I just couldn't keep fending off clients who need things done right now. Since I have moved to different software both free and paid I no longer have a use for scc pro.
I do love the software I have bought including the standard scc, but it is not robust enough for a few of the shops I have been working on. I thought perhaps the pro version would suffice but here it is already May and I held off as long as I could. Maybe in the future I'll have a use for the pro version.

Please release me, let me go.....

Does anyone here have a rough release date. I just want to know if its a matter of hours, days, weeks or months as i have a couple of customers asking about uprading there curren stores i build for them a few years ago and would like to give pro a try since i have used the standard version of a couple o other e-stores that i have built in the past. Its gonna be a great eice of software but since it has been reported as completed it stil seems to be taking a long time when compared to other much larger pieces of software that i have beta tested. Come on guys, roll it out. You will be making a lot of people very happy.

All of the above. There is no release date. All we know is that the program is completed and the documentation is being written.

That won't stop people asking... another dozen threads will pop up.
I know you believe you understand what you think I said...but I am not sure you realize that what you heard is not exactly what I meant.

yes, your right-maybe have a *New Announcement* about the release date...
 SOON!

I figure it will be ready when ever it's ready.. Does that make any sense? yes it does.
Because it takes a lot of time to work out issues, add features, fix bugs, fix newfound bugs, and yep documentation, and other cascading updates that need to be ready too. Like cart designer pro for example,, and maybe some theme updates.. maybe.
whueeeewww, glad I'm not the one wading through all that.. :)

I must admit that this thread has probably irritated more people than it has pleased, but very soon now it will hopefully get replaced with another thread that says the pro version has FINALLY been released. :/

I am also appreciative that people have ultimately had to utilise other ecommerce solutions in the interim period, which is fully understandable. If you have clients 'on your back' or have personal timescales to fulfil then you have to make the decisions that best suit your needs. That doesn't mean you should 'write off' the pro version for future projects though, as the 'straight to payment processor' architecture will dramatically minimise the potential for lost sales due to shopping cart abandonment. Now that can't be a bad thing.

Hearty agreement here, along with a comment or two that will assure that I'll never be the most popular poster on the forum.

In my opinion:
this topic should have been closed from the beginning to comments from everyone except CC personnel. The incessant call-and-response of "When, when?" - "Real soon now" is getting tiresome, especially when it comes from non-cognoscenti cheerleaders who are just repeating what they've heard 3rd-hand whilst augmenting their post count. Let the word be official and let it come from CC. There need be only a short list of posts in this thread. Confine the speculation and unofficial comment to a user-generated thread.

Smug wink-wink, nudge-nudge "I know something you don't know..." comments from beta testers come across as 'Nyah, nyah, nyah' to the rest of us who aren't privileged to be part of the process.

CC's beta testing agreement appears to be unlike any that I've participated in, and, in my opinion, is borderline unprofessional. In my experience, there has been a strict non-disclosure agreement that prevents beta testers from making any type of comment relative to the software they're testing in user forums, often to the extent that the identity of beta testers isn't even known.

Of course, CC is a different kind of company, especially with respect to their presence in the forums -- which is a great thing -- and it's not especially surprising that things are a bit looser and more familial. They have every right to make and enforce the rules as they see fit.

Note: No small animals were harmed in the production of this post, and the author apologizes for inadvertent, but blatant, toe-stepping... :)

Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
