+1 for this.

I don't see any disrespect in WILL_UK's comment, nor anyone else's. People are expressing disappointment and impatience -- they're not slamming CoffeeCup or calling them incompetents. I appreciate any forum where the 'management' doesn't step in and indiscriminately delete posts that are not 100% favorable to them, and that includes this one. (forum)

By the same token, I'm not real big on forums that are largely populated by blind corporate shills and apologists. I'm not saying that this one is one of the latter, but there are occasions where a gang of regulars will take a thread off-topic by rushing to the defense of CC with a paragraph or two BEFORE suggesting that a frustrated user take a deep breath and provide more specific information to obtain assistance.

Unfortunately Chuck, that would be a double edged sword in the end. By leaving it open it's causing quite a disturbance I agree, but on the other hand closing it would cause just as much, because people would just start making new posts (or doing what they are doing now and hijacking threads and posting questions on Pro there) and we'd have dozens of threads started instead of one central one. Also the negative connotations it would make would be that people would assume they weren't allowed to ask on it, which is also not good business.

Which way is better? Who knows, so I'll use the rule of thumb that if CC thinks it's getting out of hand they will close it :P

To me, another thread open to pure speculation, grousing and what-have-you would be far preferable to this one, because I could ignore it or them. With this one, I used to get a tinge of excitement everytime I saw that there were new posts to read, especially if Scott were the author. But even he's turned to just playing cagey in response about it, and there's no joy in even opening up the thread.

I don't know either, but I do know that I never intend any disrespect and try to be civil with my opinions, even when they may appear to be critical.

Cheers! :)

But no matter what the situation, be it timing, impatience etc., there's no need to be disrespectful about it all. If you have something that strongly to say you should email them about it. Posting what you did here Will is a very negative comment on CC, and for what purpose?

I am not an employee of Coffeecup Jo Ann, they are a supplier of a product to my business, the same as every other type of supplier I deal with. Nothing more and nothing less. There are other things going on behind the scenes here.

Didn't someone suggest that we delete this thread?
The philosopher has not done philosophy until he has acted upon the mere conviction of his idea; for proof of the theory is in the act, not the idea.

Sure, and somebody else had another suggestion. Perhaps you missed it:

wow, new thoughts from all over the place.. This thread has brought everyone together very nicely, it's just a test of our creative thought-to-word skills. :)
Speaking of creative words and thoughts, tell me what do you mean by "goosestep all over it" :/

Stop playing the role of forum nazi and dictating what, where, and how people post based on your personal opinion on how this forum should be administered. :/

I was able to include an item identifier using the optional field feature. I can partially refund shipping payment for buyers buying more than one item, however, my shop needs sub-categories/directories and a search feature. Will the new version of CC Flash Website Search work will CCSC? Should I consider making each category into a sub-directory linked to my cart? Trying to made do while waiting for Pro....
