LOL, Dave.

I was explaining to you what I meant by goose stepping, not referencing your post. Sorry I didn't make that clear. :)

I know you believe you understand what you think I said...but I am not sure you realize that what you heard is not exactly what I meant.

Stop playing the role of forum nazi and dictating what, where, and how people post based on your personal opinion on how this forum should be administered. :/

No worries Dave, I'm sure that was directed at me. As for being a forum Nazi, it has nothing to do with administration it has to do with how I feel about what he said. Just because I'm a moderator doesn't mean I can't voice my opinion same as you always do Tom. I would have said the same thing regardless of any forum status. Other than that, I'm done on this thread, it's become so negative it's not even worth reading anymore, and that's a shame.

Well...personally I'm a huge Coffeecup fan(like you guys and gals)..call me a CC freak...whatever....and I know if they have any reason to change or delay any aspect of delivery on a product, it's for a darn good reason...at the same time I respect the fact that CC gives the freedom to post what you please...I just feel as much help that CC has been to me over the years, it's not for me to complain as they are one of the software companies on the internet that I can put faith in. Actually had a personal case study from another software company and payment processor that took me 4 months to resolve(had to hop on one foot and hold my left ear)...

I think if the CS and products releases was not done so well, this thread would not have taken the slight turn it has to start with.

PS: Had a meeting today and forgot my non-disclosure agreement(geeeeeze).:o...so yeah...if you see a really good idea on the web, it's mine, lol.

Actually Jo Ann, that was not directed at any particular individual.

I think that all this came about as a result of someone misinterpreting what I said in one of my postings in this thread, instead of reading what I actually said. :(

At no time have I ever said anything negative about the pro version itself. I have never changed my opinion that within its category, it will rapidly become a product leader without equal. Combined with the cart designer it will offer an amazing amount of flexibility for rapid site design that simply isn't available from any other software vendor. I should know, as I've tried most of the alternatives. As I've previously stated I am not an employee of Coffeecup and the only reason I promote the product with such vigour, is purely on its merit.

I have been actively involved with the development of some of the new feature sets that will add real practical working capabilities to the program, rather than the 'half baked' ideas that are often suggested within these forums, so I guess in part that I myself am directly responsible for some of the delay. To me a shopping cart is just a tool, but as most of my income comes from online sales, it is important that the tool is fit for purpose. Although the basic version is a handy little utility, the pro version addresses the need for a program designed as a solution for those needing an enterprise product for serious business use. If at any time I thought it was crud, I would simply not have continued being an active member of the beta test team.

I personally have no issues with being impatient for the release of the pro version, as I've had full access to it for months now. My annoyance is that there are a lot of frustrated folks on these forums who have been incredibly patient and a weekly official update would not go amiss. Being in business myself, I know the importance of good communication and the value of feedback. Within my own enterprises, I am proactive in maintaining good customer relationships and keeping my existing customer base fully informed. It pays real dividends.

Sounds like we have a major roadblock somewhere.

Back to what someone said many months ago about 'waiting until you get it perfect' ..
Perfectionism is actually a barrier to success. Waiting for everything to be perfect prevents you from taking action. Perfectionism will contribute to procrastination and avoiding a risk. AND HERE WE ARE!!!

I'm moving on to something else.

A disappointed past customer...

There is no need get so huffy-puffy Peter. ;)

This program has real world financial impact on people. We have to make sure there are no problems. This is 100% why we have never committed to a release date. Trust me, we are just not sitting around here playing BINGO all day. I would like nothing more to release the software so I can stop posting the same info over and over here in the forums...;)

If train "A" departs Chicago at 12:00 PM traveling west at 70 miles per hour and train "B" departs Los Angeles at 12:30 PM traveling east at 60 miles per hour, when will the pro version be available for purchase on this website? :D
