So when is Shopping Cart Creator Pro being released?
Soon.
CoffeeCup... Yeah, they are the best!
I think "soon" is getting a bit stale now and losing its true meaning
If only people would stop asking...
I am absolutely confident that Scott or someone else who is really in the know, will pop up one day in the not too distant future and say.............well... something exciting for sure.
Meanwhile I am happy to get on with other stuff and not addle my brain unduly.
Anyone for a cup of tea?

Janys, there have been many, many discussions on eBay concerning other sites/ carts. I posted several times bragging up SCC. As an example:

I use Lunar Pages for hosting my new store, Sally's Shop and Coffee Cup's standard cart to build it. I've set up way too many stores only to have my work go to the cyberland graveyard after the site owners went belly up or I closed the store due to no results and/or cost. I just finished stocking Sally's Shop, with about 600 items. The big,big difference is that the source is on my hard drive and I upload it to cyberland as I add more inventory. To date there is no in-site search feature or sub-categories, however, the software is constantly being improved and upgrades are free for registered owners. It's simple to work with and I really like it. Coffee Cup is coming out with a pro version of their cart this year that should be backwardly compatible with the standard cart. I understand that the cost of the pro version will be partly off-set by the price paid for the standard version.
A few months back I tounge-in-cheek suggested a semi-Pro version of SCC in the interim. As an example just improve the cart by adding a search feature and sub-categories. I can give buyers a partial shipping refund if ordering more than one item. Item identifier can be handled using option field. I do my own inventory control as I also list on Highwire and eBay. A tounge-in-cheek suggestion, you think? Maybe soon would really be soon if the very capable CC programmers were to upgrade by baby steps rather than creating a super cart with every conceivable feature.

There is no way a "baby step" version would ever work. We would be just flooded with questions and comments on why a specific feature is not included yet. I guarantee it would take more time, effort and resources to do it that way then the process we are taking now.

a Cup of patience then ! i bet it will be out soon
Scott, I've followed these Pro posts for a long time. I've read requests for features that, at least IMO, would be required by a minority of cart builders. Again, and IMO, some features are universal to carts:
o Search
o Shipping discount
o Item identifier
o Sub-categories
I've postponed learning CC flash Search, however, it's time as my cart is too hard to navigate without one. Could one of you who have successfully incorporated CC flash Search into your SCC cart please post step-by-step instructions?
Thanks

Think about it for a minute and apply a little common sense. CoffeeCup announced an initial release date that did not come to fruition because of unexpected problems. A million disappointed people have been complaining since. Do you think they want to risk repeating that embarrassment by prematurely announcing another release date or wait until it is clearly ready for public release? I'm sure they are just as dissatisfied with the delay as everyone else and are just as anxious for the much anticipated release.
CoffeeCup... Yeah, they are the best!

Baby steps!!!!
No way that would only dilute resource for the pro version
Be patient let CC concentrate on getting pro ready
