Make the pages fluid, instead of fixed width..

That will be a quantum leap forward with the program. However with screen resolutions of over 2000px commonplace now, the two current fixed widths are a significant limiting factor and something that needs to be resolved in the near future.

To get better structure, including placement of photos on the page and multi column layouts, I can recommend the Coffeecup HTML Editor. Just design in the editor, click the code view, copy the code and paste into the cart program using the html button. Simple but very effective. ;)

I need the ability to sort products alphabetically. The click and drag is cumbersome with anything more than 10 products in a category.

I downloaded the trial version and built a quick POC for selling theatre tickets: http://chapintheatre.org/seat_ex2.html [note: My demo only allows you to choose Row B. I originally set it up so each seat went to its specific item "buy" page, but it works better for multiple purchases if I give them the whole row (see item 3 below).]

Here is my list of suggestions (I realize that some have already been requested). Can anyone offer me some alternatives that might help in this scenario?

1. I would prefer to set ticket prices at an upper bound and lowering them, instead of starting at the lower bound and raising them. This is a perception issue for my patrons more than anything. This is not available in this version, according to my reading.

2. I would like to allow season ticket owners to "buy" tickets at no cost. This would require some kind of coupon code. This also is not available in this version, according to my reading.

3. I would like to allow users to see which seats are already sold out on my seating chart rather than making them choose a row and then seeing the Sold Out icon.

4. The Sold Out icon displays on the category page, but not the "buy" page. Instead it only hides the "Add to cart" button. I would prefer it show Sold Out instead of implying it?

My demo page incorporates SCC, HTML Editor, and Image Mapper. Eventually I could even add Website Access Manager to handle season ticket holders, except that I can't use zero pricing. Plus I would still need to limit the number of free tickets, again this would probably require a coupon code that either allows a certain number of items (i.e., good for 4 tickets used together or separately) or through 4 separate coupon codes.

I would love to further discuss this if anyone has ideas, or if CoffeeCup wants to incorporate my ideas into the next release. Perhaps even a separate box office program. :)

First, Will suggested changing CCpro by adding html. I don't see a way to add html except in the footer.

Also, I would really like to be able to add some text/description on the Category pages, between the header and the product photos. I don't see this option now. Or am I missing something???

You can do that now. Just click on the category and then the details tab.

OMG, Guess I've been staring at this screen too long. I totally missed that detail section. That really helps a lot. Now I might have to re-think my shop home page. You deserve a hug for that one Scott.

I have an issue with the way the handling fee works in the shipping setup.

If you use the "default" setting for shipping in the properties box of each product, this sets your shipping to your choice in "Your Shop" (weight or manual). From what I am reading in this forum, most people are using "by weight". If you leave the "default" box unchecked, this means that you can enter the shipping for each product separately.

But which ever one you use, for some reason, the choices are based on charges for each product separately. In other words, if you want to add a handling fee, it has to be added PER product, not added to the order as a whole (one charge). Why would you want a separate handling charge for EACH product? Especially when someone orders 5 or 6 things and you put them in the same box. There is only one box, therefore, one handling fee, right? If you set the handling fee to be $1.00 per item, thinking that if someone orders several items it will add up and actually cover the handling. But if they only order the one thing, then you only got $1.00 for all that handling. On the other hand, if you put a $5.00 handling fee on one item, if they order 5 of them then their handling becomes $25.00, way too much!!

I understand that I could add a little bit to the weight or the price of each product to help cover handling, but that puts you right back to the same problem; if someone orders more than one, this charge could become excessive to the point that the order is too expensive and they will go elsewhere to buy.

Why not have the option to add this handling fee per item OR per order? Give us the choice. The way it is now, we are forced to do it per item or not at all.

Hi,

Great software...

Can you please remove the "Taxes" line within the Cart, IF all items are set to no tax..

Here in Australia, we must have each product "Inclusive" of Tax.. so therefore the "Taxes" line show a zero value which confuses our customers..

Would be good to have an option not to show the "Taxes" line within the Cart.

Thanks.

I would like to see more spaces added to the optional fields. I sell some clothing and it would be great to make one item and then use the optional fields for the consumer to choose a size from a drop down and it would also be able to track individual inventory quantities of this one size (instead of a global quantity as it is now), rather than having to make individual listings for each size.
