Hi Dave
SCC does not use any databases. Everything is controlled by the software and no database is required. This makes it much easier getting your shop online.

Thanks Scott,
So what is a realistic amount of products that the cart/shop could handle with ease or what size business would the software be suitable for.
Cheers

The maximum the software can handle right now is 3000 products and 300 categories.

This is one thing I love about CCCC, and CCCCPro, it's a flat file store in php, css and friends.
Which means it will run fast on any run of the mill shared server.. whoo hoo! Yipee and all that.
Just try a site that has a shared database and see how many pages hesitate... Unless, you have a nice server, then no big deal..
I have lots of people hosted on a shared platform, store?, NP, gimi the product info..
edit.. 3000, hmm, that should be plenty *looking for 3000 products to sell*
