Bev,
You should try clearing your cache and re-visiting the shop.

I just gave a browse, added 2 items. No tax was displayed automatically. I changed to NM (my home state) and still no tax. I then chose FL and there it was.

I just installed the 3.6 version and I'm having some troubles. using the florescent dusk theme it now says "SHOP HOME" instead of just "HOME" like it used too and also it's automatically installing some kind of strange logo! It looks like a backwards J and an 8 or something. Why? How do I get rid of that? :(

Here's a link to my test shop: http://spiritofsurvival.net/shop/

And I should only be charging tax on sales that come from Florida. I installed all states and have them all zero except for Florida. when I put an item in the cart to test it it already had tax on it - how does it know I am in Florida if I haven't even let the cart know that information yet? this leads me to believe it will charge tax to everyone. Not clear on how this works.

Please help with that weird logo and the tax issue. Thank you!

That is just the default logo that will appear on your shop if you have not configured one. To remove it, go to Your Shop Settings and the for Logo Image, browse to select your logo. If you do not want to have one, just make a simple 1 pixel by 1 pixel transparent image and use that instead.

Your tax is setup correctly. The user has to pick the state first and then checks out. More or less and honesty thing. You can find full instructions here at https://www.coffeecup.com/help/articles … ing-taxes/

I also just uploaded a new version of the software that corrects some issues in Internet Explorer. I would suggest installing that as soon as you can.

Hmmm... guess Attach a File didn't work for me either ;-)

I've posted the screen shot of a clicked-on item photo here:

You probably have some security setting preventing JavaScripts from loading locally. I bet if you upload it, things will work fine. Also see if you have any FireFox extensions that are blocking things. I know AdBlock can cause all sorts of problems.
