Hi all,
thanks for your help, here is our finished shop:D

http://www.velvetart.co.uk

using the "taxes" as part of a shipping cost calculator.

We don't expect many orders from oversees, as the postage is usually more than the product, but it saves returning payments when we get orders from abroad with UK postage charges included.

The only snag is that it still says "sales tax" on the paypal order page. This is not so good for the UK because we don't have sales tax, VAT instead. Also retail prices are usually quoted including of VAT, only trade prices would be quoted excluding VAT.

In our case, the field is used for the shipping surcharge

Best regards

Hi everyone,

I have found a way to remove 'taxes 0.00' from the shopping cart?

1. Find this file - shop/ccdata/data/cart.inc.php

2. Find this bit of code - <td class="scs_cart_subtotals_label" colspan="2">Taxes:</td><td class="scs_cart_subtotals_value"><?php echo $myPage->curSign;?><?php echo $myPage->getCartTaxTotal(); ?>

3. Delete it.

The 'taxes 0.00' disappears from the view cart page, it does not mess up the calculations & it does not appear on the PayPal summary.

Check it out

I have also made other modifications i.e. change "shipping" to "delivery".

All the changes I have made are done in the ***.inc.php files, they do not need to be re-uploaded every time you upload direct from within the SCC unless you make changes to the corresponding .php file in SCC.

Hope this helps.
