I dont sell goods online, I sell services. So I'm wondering if SCC can be used that way, without showing people a cart? Can it be set up just to say "Prepay Now", for example, and with a pull-down menu listing of my various services and fees offered?

See the existing one at http://www.coloradoprocessservers.net to see what I mean. ( but I've been wanting to dump Paypal, which is a pain, and go to Authorize instead )

Our software is designed to sell a product for a set price. The product however can be a tangible or intangible one, but the price must be fixed.

You could do something like this. Setup a product/service that is like "1 hour personal training service" and set a price of $50. You can then let you user select that and change the quantity, so they could purchase 2 of them, for a total of $100.

Hope that makes sense ;)

Well my main issue is that I dont want a cart to be there, it just seems hokey when selling a professional service. So can it be done without a cart graphic and without having a cart? Just have a button that says "Prepay" or "Pay for service(s)" and have the drop down menu like I do now?

I'm basically just in need of something that will do the code for me and interface into the Authorize system.

From what you are describing, you really do not need a shopping cart at all. I would suggest just making a Website and use our Form Builder software for your order system. That may work better for you.

Cool, thanks Scott! I think I even have it here - Coffeecup Web Form Builder?

Just never tried it yet. Got it as part of a bundle from you guys.

The part I'm finding hard, is getting the code to my site, that I need for that Authorize.net payment system, so I can get rid of Paypal, it's a pain and is making me look bad.

Will Coffeecup Web Form Builder do that for me?

You'll be a hero!

Melissa,

Do you have the code for an Authorize.net button? (I never used it, so I don't know if button code exists.)

If so, use the form builder to create your form. While building the form, instead of using the default thankyou page, use a custom page and have it point to the page with the payment button.

Does that sound like it would work for you?

Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
