I have created a page called "Contact us" using the "add page" feature in SCC. I also created a form using the form builder then copied into the new page the code for the form using the "insert HTML" feature. But it does not work.
Is what I need possible?
I also tried to insert a link pointing to the contact.html file but when I preview the page, the link shows but cannot be executed. To confirm it, I inserted a link pointing to yahoo.com and same problem, the link show but cannot be executed.
Any suggestions to solve these problems?
Thank you

Hi Mr Trader,
The form won't be functional in Preview but should work fine when you upload it to your server.

I know you believe you understand what you think I said...but I am not sure you realize that what you heard is not exactly what I meant.
The actual Cart Creator program needs a php environment for the functions to operate. The preview only gives a html representation, to allow you to get a general idea of what the site would look like when uploaded to a php enabled server.
If you want to test the functionality offline, then you need to install a php server onto your computer, using a xampp utility. Please be aware that setting up a xampp utility correctly, is not the easiest of tasks though.

Thank you, I am going to upload it today and try it.
Right you were... the for is "working" kind of...sort of..
It is displaying properly, however when clicking the "send" button the next thing I know it is displaying the "contact.asp" on my screen.
I check the version and I am running the current one, I also checked the setup in the form and upon sending the form it is supposed to redirect to the index.php file on my server.
Also the "yahoo" link under "Categories" does show but is not activated.

Any further suggestions?

You are on a Linux server, not an IIS Server, so you cannot use ASP as the form processor. Go to Configure Form Settings > Advanced and change it from ASP to PHP. Save and upload.

Very good Scott!
For my own knowledge, how could I have known about the type of server they had?

Ooops!
Quick question for you... How is the "contact us form going to be mailed to me if I do not specify a SMTP server?

PHP handles all of that. One of the great things about Linux, it is just easy to work with
