What I do here is this:

1. Load Video Player. Create a project, save and upload to my server where the cart is stored.

2. Take the code generated by Video Player and go to the long description area and click the blue html button and paste in the code.

3. Re-upload the shop

If you have multiple accounts, e-mail me directly with both addresses and I will merge them for you.

I would also like to see the following features added.

Spell checker for the descriptions, I am tired of writing everything in Microsoft Word and then pasting into the description area.

Be able to add a video to show a product in use or show its features more clearly.

Add a link to a page with further information.

Sub categories is also on my wish list.

It's very easy to add a link to other pages with more info already. I found what I thought was a limitation until I examined it further(and posted a question in my support area)
I wanted to sell my engraved dog tags and the label function has been great to add my selection of shapes, colors, sizes, and whether they wanted a split ring, s-hook, or rivets to attach it to the collar. But when I tried putting a form in the description page to get their information they wanted on the tag I hit a snag. Seems as though even though you can use Html in that area a form is not possible. The reason given was that the customer would have to choose adding the item to the cart, or sending the form details. My solution was very simple...... create a form(using CC form builder of course)on its own page for the customer to enter and send their details to me. Then you simply put a link to that page in the item details section, right now it's text, but I plan on creating a custom button to click on in the very near future(coffee cup, why don't you have button creating software?) This solution is actually better than putting the form directly in the description section of the item in my opinion. I can give instructions on the forms page on what they might include on the tag, and some other details. Plus, I put a little bit of advertising on that page promoting my collars and leads.

Thanks for that info Craig, very good.

Another feature that I have found I need is to have two separate prices, one for domestic customers (with tax) the other world customers (tax exempt)
Choice of currencies for either one.
Different shipping for either one.

Only other way around this would be to produce two shops (what a headache)
Some say it can't be done, while others are doing it.

I agree with Reginald for having tax and non tax options. Maybe a tick box so it can automatically adjust the prices accordingly.
Also what about having a different language. I live in Spain but sell to both Spanish and English speakers. Obviously you could generate 2 shops, but then stock control becomes an issue so products would need to be linked. That's if Coffee cup really do a stock level option in a future update. Can't see much use in software that doesn't allow this.

Do you have flash menu builder or Visual Site Designer? I've built many buttons in both of those programs. You are only limited by your imagination

Hi Scott,

Overall - I would say this is a great start for a simple site but I really look forward to checking out your pro version as soon as it is available. I might get by with the current features for while, but I would really like some of the features that are available through my hosted shopping cart site.

I currently am using ecartsoft shopping cart software and while it's very powerful, I find it kind of klunky to implement (especially compared to this software). My comments below are directed toward a gym type of business (all star cheerleading to be exact) - I would be willing to spring for a couple hundred more $$ (USD) because I could save a lot over the monthly hosting fees.

1. Indicate a pay by check(should also work well for entering a Purchase Order) - This works great for registering kids into classes If their parents don't want to do online payments. Yes, they still exist out there!

2. Add comments to the order - I realize this may be outside the ability of Google to process, but perhaps could be mailed separately? This comes in real handy for associating a name with a class. Lots of name changes in blended families and matching email addresses can be painful.

3. Allows more than two drop down selections (really nice to be able to add options)

4. Inventory would be a plus for limiting class sizes but I see that's been addressed already.

5. Clicking on the main item picture seems to place part of the picture (and the escape message) below the bottom of the screen. Some people might abandon the cart if that happens and they don't know how to get back.

6. An option to add extra amounts for 3XL size w/o creating a whole new part would be useful. Would also be useful for charging different amounts for different colors where the balance of the product remains the same.

Thanks,
Craig
PS - I'm more than willing to be a Beta Tester

VIRTUAL PRODUCT SUPPORT
Imagine if CoffeeCup used their own shopping cart software; customers ordering their products would have to wait for a representative to respond. I realize this may be beyond the current program's capabilities but this is my wish list, after all!

IMAGINE if CoffeeCup used their own shopping cart software. Sounds like a John Lennon song.

Add me to that list.

I would like to see a drop down option for quantity in the front page, description page and check out page.

Would be handy :)

It would be nice to have a tab where you can explain your return/policy instead of having to explain it in the home text box.

Just make an external page with your policy explained and then put a link to it in the description section of each item.
