Has anyone had any success changing the dimensions of the header logo? I do not have a perfect square logo for my company, it is a textual logo. Trying to fit it into a square box will not work. The page title text will not work either as my logo incorporates an image in the middle.
I read in the tips and tricks thread that you can slice it, however I have never done this before. Does anyone have additional information where they have been successful?
CC Staff - do you plan on making the logo dimensions more open in the near future (ie- 3.1)? To me, the most important thing on my website is my brand. Expecting every site to have a square logo really didn't take branding into consideration.

Well that was part 2 of my question so I guess I need to search instead of getting an answer to my post?

Dan, I saw your post in the tips and tricks and wasn't sure where to start. It's a little out of my skill range (or at least I think). Are there any CC programs that will let you do what you described? I don't own Dreamweaver. I am fairly knowledgeable with html and css - slicing has never crossed my path though.
Look forward to any feedback as this is really the only thing that is holding me back from going live.
JPM,
without being to condiscending it is basic, but granted you will need a little bit of knowledge and understanding of how PHP, HTML and CSS all works and links in with each other.
There are some CC apps that will allow you to create what you need, you just need to create a jpeg image for the banner as big as you would like it.
Cheers

michelle,
yep always do a search first before posting a question, chances are someone somewhere is or has had the same problem and it has already been answered.

Dan,
Not condescending at all. Believe it or not, the light bulb clicked after you said that and I stopped over thinking it... it was quite easy. I was able to fix my logo in about an hour, it looks great!
Appreciate it.
CC Staff - I still think it should be included to let users set their own dimensions rather being stuck with 128x128.

I'm still lost. I have a banner image, and tried to upload it, and it's real small in my store when I preview it. Am I doing something wrong?
Sorry, I feel like JPM in the first post. LOL I'm skilled to a degree, but still don't get it ...

Michelle,
which image are you replacing on your site, are you replacing the banner or the logo.
if you can create transparent logo.png and upload that then you can just upload the new banner image and not have to worry about slicing the image.
you need to make sure that the transparent logo.png is the height that you want the main banner to be.
If you get stuck, let me know and i will create a transparent logo.png and a banner for you.

Well, I haven't uploaded my store yet -- I'm browsing to the logo in my picture files, from the cc software. I understand html a little, but didn't want to mess with those files? But if I have to I can. So I'm not sure what I'm replacing...lol -- just trying to make the image above go across the top of the store...
I understand the transparent png, I think? But I can't make one.
Yep, I'm stuck. LOL

Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
