Help Needed Please! Inserting images...
This topic may have been covered in other threads, I did a search but nothing came up. Please forgive if there is anything out there.
I've recently upgraded to Shopping Cart Creator 3.7 plus Cart designer Pro. About to launch our first online wine shop.
I want to take advantage of the different pages for info etc as we don't have a great number of products on offer -6 wines in single bottles or cases.
To make the page look a bit more lively and colourful I would like to add some photos/images, but on the editor there is no insert facility for this.
Can anyone out there give me few tips on how we can do this - i'm thinking along the lines of some html code (as i've used in past for a wordpress) but can't remember for the life of me what to do/use.
Is there a way round this?
Perhaps this could be added to the wish list for the Pro version!
Would really appreciate some feedback from anyone. Our shop should have been up yesterday!!
Thanks
Martine

Hiya Martine,
You can add HTML code to your main pages and of course any extra pages you create in the Shopping Cart Creator also. Just go to that page using the Pages button at the top and you'll see an area where you can add text, graphics, etc.
There's an HTML selection on the edit bar above the main window that when pressed will open a window where you can add HTML to your pages that way. This goes for your product areas also.
I have not used this feature a lot as I can't figure out how to make it center anything lol and I gave up before I pulled my hair out and just made external pages for my site. But I'm sure someone will know how, and I am sure it's doable for your site too. Good luck with it

@Mudd Dawg: Have you tried that and it works? I've tried it and it doesn't work for me at all It's one of the first things I tried when I was trying to center a graphic on my home page, along with style tags, etc. and I just couldn't get any of them to center for me lol.
@ Jewelcraft: Which graphic did you do that to Jewelcraft? The only graphic I see that fits the whole space is the logo banner area? Or do you mean you placed the group of them in the content so that they just go one after the other like that?

I'm attaching a script I used in Joomla and WordPress along with the result on a test page from SC Creator.

Ahh ok yes I see that, of course the thing with text is you don't need to insert it into the html for that or links, you would if you want it in a footer or somewhere special though, but then the Footer has a special spot to edit in the SCC already too. What I I'll have to try is if that works for graphics too because that's where I had trouble. Text can be done using the basic editor setup without html insertion, but graphics are a different story I guess. I'll play with it after while and see what happens. Thanks
Ok I stand corrected at myself because I thought that SCC had normal editing features for the text but I was wrong and I apologize if I mislead anyone to thinking that text editing was not needed to be done with any HTML insertion.
I just went in and was editing some text on my shop and realized that anything other than color or size for text has to be done with HTML setups. I could have sworn that it had the basics like left, center, right for positions like normal text editors do, but nope lol. My bad for not remembering it correctly.
Thanks Mudd Dawg for letting me know how to center things in there, I'm about to try a graphic but I needed to be sure I remembered to recant my statement here first

You're welcome. Unfortunately until everything gets worked out with designer and creator I continue to do shops for clients using Zencart. Can't wait until the day I can feel fully comfortable with creator and designer and let Zencart go.
