I'm trying to center text and links without any success. The p align command doesn't have any effect. What should I be doing?

In your HTML tool enter:

<center>text or link here<center>

Mind you, I still can't get this to work properly as it still won't center multiple things such as a couple lines of text and a graphic, not sure why yet, still working on that, but if you only have 1 link or a line or 2 of just text it should work fine.

Thanks Jo Ann. I got one bit to work but the rest wouldn't so had to remove them as it made the page look bad.

It should be such a simple thing to do but seems to be quite elusive.

I agree there tassie, not sure why it's such a fussy little setting, I'm hoping a future update will address this problem in the edit settings so we don't have to code in order to center, we'll see

Just an update, with some help from Monica we worked out that its possible to center text using <center> but it doesn't work with scripts.

So something to look at for future updates

You should no longer be using <p align="">. It's not proper markup. Use stying for postioning.

I think it's a known issue though Tom, for some reason you can actually center just about anything (maybe not forms as I haven't tried to center mine yet on the shop), I've centered text, graphics, etc. but the problem is it will only center 1 of them not all within the tags, not sure why that is, but that's what happens for me.

If I put a line of text in center tags, it's fine. If I put a line of text and a graphic in the center tags it won't center them both, only 1 of them. Strange things.

Hopefully when they update the program it will have a "center" system like most text editors and HTML editors do where you can just press the left, middle, right alignment buttons like we already can for changing color and such. This would definitely be helpful because to center text you also have to manually style it then too as the normal editor styles won't carry over inside the HTML tool tags.

That would be a nice feature.

Another vote for the option to center text.

The text alignment buttons will be a worthwhile addition to the program. Anything that helps to present the shop owners products in the best possible way just has to be plus point.
