It is quite slick. And its what makes me excited about the pro version - new slicknesnesses - not sure if that's spelled correctly :/

Can get there via the menu above too, just hit Get Support, and then the left link for the "Orders & Downloads" :)

We are always trying to make things easier, so feedback is important. Does anyone think it is too hard to find that area?

Hi Scott
There have been a few customers/trial users asking how to raise a support ticket or which software have I purchased etc.
How about a drop down menu from get support
to display
- raise support ticket
- orders
- downloads
- ask a question etc

I would have to agree, there have been quite a few people that have asked how to open a ticket or where to find their files, and I believe I was one of them oh so long ago and had to be told how to open a ticket too. I would love to see a dropdown menu on the Get Support menu choice that gives links to the support pages rather than the support page where people have to click the right one. It's pretty easy to find as it is really, but then I know it's there so it's not hard, but the downloads area is a bit tricky to think about since not everyone is thinking that is a "support" issue and hence a bit confusing I think.

You actually don't have to click "Support" to get to any of those items. If you look at the top of the page it says:

Hey NAME | Account | Logout | English | Your cart is empty

If you click Account, you get a page that has all of those items right at the top of the page, above the fold.

From there you have:

Orders and Downloads
Ask Us A Question
Your Support Room
Your User Profile.

Takes you to the same page that "Get Support" does, which is fine for those of us that already know what's there, for support that should really be a no brainer really. I mean to be honest, if you see Get Support on a menu, wouldn't you think that's where support can be found which would include Support Tickets. That's the first place I would look if I were a newbie looking for CC support rather than forums.

On the other hand, where to find your purchased downloads is another thing all together as it's really not a support issue. But, you do have a point there on the Account thing being where one would probably think to look for their downloads, but....

That hasn't been there all that long, so I don't even think to look for the Account link. I do recall within the past year asking for login stuff to be on the main page, because I couldn't find where to log in lol. Now it's there nicely, so yes, your point is quite valid that if I were new, that's probably where I would go to find things like my downloads.

But... you did ask us... and quite a few people do ask on the forums, I think at least 3 times a week or more I see someone asking where to put in a ticket when someone tells them that they need to put one in for support and they have no idea how to do that. Yes I agree it should be pretty obvious with "Get Support" but it's apparently not.

Same with the downloads at least 2 or 3 times a week I see someone asking where to find their downloads because they have to update their software after trying to get help on the forums, and we see they have an old version. They don't immediately see where that would be.

Just my 10 cents :P

FWIW, I personally don't think it's hard to find. If I remember correctly the Account, Logout, etc. may have been more prominently displayed previously. I believe I have always selected the Account link to access anything related to my account such as purchases or support.

My only suggestion would be to perhaps make the top row of links more prominent. Perhaps the same type of gradient used on the primary menu could be used on the secondary menu and search box.

Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
