You could create a blank index page containing a link to your shop. You would add the following between the <head> tags:
<meta http-equiv="refresh" content="0;url=http://www.popartdirect.com/shop/">
<meta http-equiv="refresh" content="0;url=http://www.popartdirect.com/shop/">
The easiest way is to create a custom index page in html. Then when you create your links on the home page make them link to specific pages on your cart. This allows you to have the design flexibility of html and css while at the same time pairing it up with your shopping cart. I just used this technique for a client and he loved it.

I just uploaded my cart into the public_html folder and not public_html/shop and that makes your cart the Home page.
Have a look here:

Is that what you mean?

Very nice tassie I really like it, it's a fun looking site and pleasing to the eye, and well placed for it all too, good job!
Hey tassie that worked great thanks very much, i've uploaded a basic cart just now as my last cart expired at midnight tonight. I'm holding off a few catagories for the pro version.
Thanks again
here my site:
popartdirect.com
As for the dutch thing the google message only happens on the T shirts section in catagories and it only happens in firefox.
Any ideas anybody?
cheers

Looks great to me Mark, not sure what you mean on the Dutch thing so I'll assume it's not something we can see? I went as far as adding things to cart and hitting the Google Checkout thing, but I didn't see anything in Dutch anywhere so maybe it's farther in?
I'm in the United States and had no problems viewing the T-Shirt category, either. Be aware that you are unable to ship internationally when using Google Checkout. I added a shirt from your site to the shopping cart, continued the checkout process by logging into my Google account, and received the following message:
I had the same problem with customers in Canada that were unable to buy from me. I opened a support ticket regarding this but the response was SCC basic doesn't have a way to handle international orders when using Google Checkout.
Pop Art Direct does not ship to this address via Google Checkout
You do not currently have any valid shipping methods.

There have been some threads recently with Paypal having problems displaying text in Dutch. Maybe similar problem. Its not a problem with SCC so perhaps have a look at these threads and take this up with Google checkout support.
