Well I slept on it and today purchased the SCC I then uninstalled all my old shop files from my server and then proceeded to a new shop with two products and two categories here. http://blacklightshop.com/shop Then I went to my existing shop and edited one of the details (payment) pages and removed all the payment processors and installed a new link back to one of my products here. http://blacklightshop.com/shop/drimarkshop.html Now the tax is working for Pennsylvania which is the only one I need but I cannot figure out the 10% being added to my product sales for all the states and Canada. I thought I entered the right info because I have the tax working for PA. Any thoughts
You can have multiple tax zones. For example, you can have one named PA and one named Other. You can also select which one is the default when the user enters the checkout page. This is how I did it.
To add a tax zone, select Taxes then click Edit Location to edit the tax zones. It looks to be grayed out but you can still click on it. To add a tax rates, click Edit Tax Rates and enter the different values. To assign a tax rate to a tax zone, right click on a tax zone and sect the tax rate for that tax zone.
The key to making it all work, though, is the user must select the appropriate rate at checkout.

Bill, are you saying that a 10% tax rate is being added to Canada and all other states once a customer proceeds to PayPal? If so, there may be a setting within PayPal that needs to be disabled; basically tell PayPal that tax information is to be handled by your cart, not PayPal.
No my PayPal and Tax Rates are working fine. It's the shipping % not working for me. I have tried doing a 10% for each item for USA and Canada. Have attached what is showing up.
Little larger attachment
Try again Corel Paint problem and me also.
Have you looked at your shipping options? You can set different shipping option amounts and apply them to each product.

That's where I'm at. Trying to do 10% on all my products. In the Shipping Options In the Description Field I have USPS, FEDEX. In the Amount Field I have 10.00 In the How to apply shipping field I have
Add this percentage to the shipping total and I have "Require customers to select a shipping option upon checkout. For a view cart I have an item for $4.95 and $15.95 sub-total of $20.90 and the shipping charges showing $11.00 and my estimated taxes for PA is $1.26 which is correct. It's the $11.00 shipping total I can figure out. Any help greatly appreciated. I suppose my ;problem is in the Amount Field with the 10.00 ?

It's interesting. On page 31 of the help file it states:
"If you entered a percentage in the Amount field, choose Add this percentage to the shipping total or Add this percentage for each product in the cart."
However, I'm unable to specify an amount or percentage in the Amount field. I may be missing something and will have to experiment some more.

Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
