I setting up a site to sell baseball cards and I'm wondering if there is a way to set the product to one item only. I don't like need 10 people try to buy one item.

That feature (inventory control) will be in the pro version, which is due for release in the near future.

I like using the coffee cup shopping cart and I really don't want to jump to another product. any idea when the near future will be?

Mike,its not another product,its the long awaited upgrade with many new features including
inventory control and search box ! I really think it will be out before the end of the year !

but i've been waiting for this for some months so im saying before the end of the year
just to make sure, it can be next month or maybe 3 months im not holding my breath
but im keeping a big eye on the updates because it can be anytime !!!

The software itself was completed several months ago. aparantly since this time they have been working on other details surrounding its release but this was officialy confirmed several months ago. I too am desperately since no option to sub-catagerize has stopped me from being able to list any new stock since it is becoming far to difficult to find what people are looking for unless they sit and browse for hours. I have had to move on to Zen cart which is a great peice of software. If you simply cannot wait then i suggest you give it a go. spanning back almost 8 months I was checking the website every day for the software since even that long ago it was reported that it would be released "soon" but i gave this up a while ago after hearing a further 9 or ten times that it was to be released soon. When the software is released il check it out and hopefully i wont be to far integrated into zencart at this point as i love cc software

I might be checking out your store for the face masks... hubby and I are looking to buy a MotoGuzzi just as soon as we sell our car. Maybe a Stelvio or Norge as we plan some long runs...

Although some of the software was completed there have since been additions and adjustments to it, and do keep in mind this isn't just 1 piece of software that is needing to be completed, it's 4 of them when you consider that all 4 SC products have to be updated together and released together since they all need to play nicely together. This means:

will all be released together to make sure all carts are up to date at the same time. That makes it last a bit longer than just 1 program and these 4 being the more intricately designed programs it takes a bit of time to do all that

There are lots of ecommerce solutions out there and it is up to the individual to choose the product that is best suited to their needs. Whilst the likes of Zen are incredibly powerful solutions, they can take an immense amount of time to set up a customised shop. To get the most out of them, you need to have a good knowledge of php, css and structured database coding.
